Good location, poor service

The hotel is well located for exploring the sights in DC. Public transport is close, a store with liquor, water and soft drinks around the corner. Just don’t expect great service here. Lines for checkin might be long and if your have an issue (e.g. a not working room card) they’ll make you wait. I had two separate booking and needed to wait 20min in line to do a second checkin. Leaving luggage on site until departure is possible, but the grumpy bell man educated us about how „a few“ hours are not six hours. At pickup the (new) bell man didn’t even talk with us, he preferred chatting with his colleague. Rooms are generally good, just not soundproof to outside (single glass windows). Make sure you don’t get a room to the back and that your a/c doesn’t sound like a diesel truck.

Die Zimmer sind eher klein aber sauber und modern! Die Dusche ist groß und sauber! Die Lage der Unterkunft ist super zentral, der Bahnhof und die U-Bahn sind schnell zu Fuß erreichbar! Alles in allem würden wir wieder kommen!

Great for party folks, terrible for families

If you are looking for a kids-friendly hotel, avoid this one at all cost. The dance music from the rooftop won't stop until 11pm; the rooftop pool is mainly frequented by Washington's chic and elegant (most of them not even hotel guests), leaving little room for ordinary people; there is both a hefty security deposit and an extra hotel fee. That being said, if you are a party-loving 20-something, this hotel is probably for you: stylish rooms, rooftop pool with nightly dance music, gourmet restaurant on ground floor. In essence, this is a high-end party house dressed up as a hotel.

Nickled and Dimed

Well it was the right price point when I booked but when I checked in they charged me a 35 dollar resort fee. My question. WHAT resort? It is BS the pool and deck was closed there are no grounds. It’s a nice motel at best. This fee is a way to look affordable up front and then stick you in the end. I could have stayed at the HYATT across the street for same rate. They tried to charge me 55dollars for an early check in. It was nickel and dimes to death. The room was so small you could not walk across the space without putting the bed up. The front desk was rude and unhelpful and the auto check in and out never worked. Clean but was a fee by fee rip off. Also if you want your true blue pints they will not put your number in at check in you have to book through the jet blue app.
