Just completed this one bedroom one bathroom (sleeps three) modern lean cottage is in a very desirable location. Situated a stones throw from South Holston Lake and Painter Creek marina this property is stunning. Both Bristol and Abingdon are about ten minutes away and the new Hard Rock Casino is about fifteen minutes. The Bristol speedway is approximately ten minutes as well. Relax on the large deck and enjoy the gas fire feature table. The bedroom is behind double glass panel barn doors and has a king bed with super comfy mattress. Hi end luxury linens await you. The bathroom is large and has a tiled walk in shower, sink with light up mirror and water closet. The living room boasts twelve foot ceiling and has a couch that folds out to a queen bed, a comfy chair, a gas fireplace and massive windows to view the outdoors and the massive deck. The living room is open to the full kitchen with a granite top island, full fridge, oven, microwave, regular pot coffee maker and a Nepresso coffee maker, sink and dishwasher. This property is truly an oasis. It is easy to relax here as it is peaceful and quiet. Come try it out. We guarantee you won’t be disappointed. The property was clean, beautiful decorated and perfect for a couple. The bed was very comfortable, there were super fluffy towels in the bathroom. The owner was friendly, gracious and left snacks and Nepresso pods for us. The property is a guest house that shares a driveway with the adjoining house. This wasn't a problem for us. There is not a house directly behind the property so the back deck overlooks a sprawling tree lined backyard. The neighborhood is very nice and quiet. We would definitely stay here again when we come back to Abingdon.

Great location and fantastic owner.Unfortunately there was a bug and ant problem.Also, once covers weee removed at time of check out, the mattress had done unsavory looking stains. But, the location was great. Tasteful design.Owners were right next door and very responsive.I hate to leave any negative comments because it’s a great place overall. I’m sure the ant issue and the potato bug problem is easily remedied.Would stay there again.

GPS led us on a narrow twisty road with no centerline or side markers. Kind of scary. After we arrived we found a much shorter, safer way to get to and from the property. Hostess was GREAT! She went out of her way to help us! I forgot chairs to go to the race at Bristol, she found some from her friend to loan to us. THANKS! Cottage itself was very nice, had everything we needed.

Excellent place to stay! Though a little out from the center of Abingdon, it’s very close to Bristol as well. Beautiful area, home is beautifully maintained, neighborhood is SO quiet! We enjoyed the thoughtful snacks and the comfy couch, and the bed was incredible! The only issue we had was with the stone pathway into the house - while beautiful, it made navigation difficult for my husband who is legally blind. It was gorgeous, but it can be difficult to navigate while also carrying luggage. We loved our stay and hope to stay again the next time we come to town!

Disappointing

Granted the house and neighborhood was beautiful but it was right next door to the main house. It was clear to us they had been watching us through their blinds. Also the neighbors dog cam running up to us barking and wouldn’t listen to the owner as she was trying to retrieve the dog. Also the listing is misleading. It sleeps 4 but you have to pay 40 a night additional over 2 occupants. I always felt like I was being watched.

Cute cottage near Abingdon

Wonderful Retreat

My partner and I stayed for 3 nights along with our pup and had a great time! We are big on cleanliness which was why I chose this cottage and it did not disappoint. The owners were so accommodating- leaving dish soaps - snacks- and Nespresso pods. We enjoyed watching the cows in the back and the fire pit on the deck! Owners were very kind and responsive. A Special Place !

I am an avid fisherman and the weekend forecast for Lake Holston October 11-13th was awesome - I booked this last minute and could not be happier !
