The Space:
Wildlife Haven by Tiny Away is located in Gladstone Region Queensland, 15 minutes to the beautiful coastal town of Seventeen Seventy. Nearby Agnes Water Tavern, Garden Cafe, and Agnes Water Beach Holidays. A cozy 139-square-foot tiny home with easy access to water, split air conditioning, a kitchenette, cooking equipment, and excellent bathroom facilities.
The bathroom, however, follows ecologically sustainable principles, including an eco-friendly cassette toilet with a removable waste-holding tank, hand basin, and shower (gas heated for hot showers). It focuses on satisfying people's needs with natural resources and processes to save water through using eco-friendly toilets to save the environment.
If you plan to spend your weekend getaways here, we advise that you bring your basic necessities such as food and water during your stay with us. Thank you!
Guest Access:
Guest will have access to the tiny house and its surroundings, but not any further toward the main house.

Wildlife Haven by Tiny Away sits in a coastal town in Agnes Water, just a 15-minute drive away from Seventeen Seventy. A small seaside town known for its beautiful beaches and great fishing. Avondale, Bundaberg, and Hervey Bay are all within a 1-2 hr drive of the property. So, make an endless list of things to do!

- Agnes Water Beach Holidays is known for its aquamarine waters, water sports, and great picnics.
- Garden Café is set in a tropical garden setting and serves fresh local ingredients with a diverse menu.
- Coral Sea Seafood and Takeaways comes highly recommended for its delicious fish and crustacean menu.
- Agnes Water Tavern is the local hotspot for delicious food, cold beer, live music, and exciting bar gaming, including TAB.
- Holidays Café offers a light brunch menu, pastries, coffee, and good service. Located directly across from Agnes Water Beach.
- Paperback Forest Walk is a bushwalking trail with stepping stones, fallen debris, water crossings, and rough surfaces that are not suitable for children.
Getting Around:
By car:
- 1 hr drive from Avondale
- 6 hours drive from Brisbane
- 2 hours drive from Hervey Bay
- 4.5 hours from Sunshine Coast
- 1.5 hours in between Gladstone and Bundaberg
By public transport: There are flights or trains to Bundaberg, then a bus to Agnes Water.
Other Things to Note:
- No unregistered guests or visitors are allowed
- No smoking is allowed on the property as we are a smoke-free property
- Due to the nature of the property, abundant wildlife may be present on the property
- Keep in mind that BBQ grills and outdoor fire pits are not available during a total fire ban
- We would like to advise guests that longer stays or later check-outs will incur an additional charge
- For stays of 5 nights or more, an additional cleaning fee will be collected to help maintain the [compost/cassette] toilets and ensure a clean and fresh experience for all guests. We appreciate your understanding.
Safety guidelines
- Please wear appropriate clothing and footwear
- Guests are advised to wear long, loose pants to avoid snake bites
- Please do not wear open-toed shoes when roaming around outside
- We recommend guests wear closed-toed shoes such as sneakers or boots
- Given the rural setting, children are welcome under CLOSE ADULT SUPERVISION
- Keep an eye out for snakes as the property is located in bushland (or grassland) areas
