*Retreat & Unwind*
Perched above the ocean and along the eagles' flight paths, you'll love the warmth, natural light, and incredible vistas this space offers (binoculars provided!).
Wake up to serene garden views from your bed before slowly rising to take in the ocean and mountain vista that fills the main living space. Savour your morning coffee or tea in the sunroom, where you can bask in warm, natural light while reading, relaxing, doing yoga, or simply enjoying the view. Spend your day experiencing the area’s incredible sights, culture, and wildlife—walk down to the beach, up to the forest trails, or head into town to visit U’mista Cultural Centre or jump aboard a Seasmoke whale-watching tour—before returning to the Nest to catch the beautiful evening sunset from the front yard (or cozied up on the couch).

* Other Important Notes *
• This suite is located in a bungalow with a separate adjacent suite occupied by BC Ferries captains during their work rotations (5am–3pm or 3pm–1am). While they are generally very quiet and respectful, as with any shared building, there can occasionally be sound transfer. Complimentary earplugs are provided just in case. (Note both suites are fully self-contained with separate entrances—the only shared area is parking.)
• The space can accommodate up to 4 people. To be mindful of everyone’s schedules, rest, and enjoyment, this suite is best suited to those seeking a quiet, relaxing stay.
• This is a non-smoking and non-vaping property.
• As it is a shared property, we're unable to accommodate pets at this time.
• Accessibility considerations: The suite is one level, but there are 5 stairs leading to the front door, supported by handrails on both sides. There is also an incline from the guest parking spot to the house. There is a small step into the walk-in shower and no grab bars.
• 1 night minimum with 2 nights for Fridays and long weekends. Discounts for weekly stays. Please reach out directly about long term stays.
*Getting to Alert Bay*
• Highway 19 offers a fully paved, scenic, and comfortable drive to Port McNeill.
• Alert Bay on Cormorant Island is accessible via ferry from Port McNeill every 3 hours (6 sailings/day) — schedule linked below. You’ll pay for your return trip at the BC Ferries terminal in Port McNeill. (You don’t pay anything when leaving Cormorant Island.)
• Travel is free between Alert Bay and Sointula on Malcolm Island — just tell the staff where you’re going when driving/walking on.
• The ferry has capacity for ~47 vehicles and is non-reservable. We recommend arriving ~30 minutes ahead of your sailing time.
• Tip: If exploring a few islands, we highly recommend getting the BC Ferries Experience Card to save ~30-40% on ferry travel!
• Visit the BC Ferries website for the schedule, fares, and current conditions. (You can also view the lineups!)
