George Bailey House

Das Zuhause von George Bailey wurde nach der Hauptfigur in "Es ist ein wunderbares Leben" benannt. Dieses Haus ist bei großen Familien, Mehrfamilienfamilien und Gruppen beliebt. Das Haus bietet ausreichend Platz für 8 Personen und bietet Platz für bis zu 10 Personen unter Verwendung von Sofas oder mit Rollbett. Eine angeschlossene Wohnung mit zwei Schlafzimmern mit eigenem Eingang kann auch als separate Einheit oder zusammen mit dem Haus gemietet werden. Wir nennen es George Bailey Loft. Es gibt ausreichend Parkplätze für Fahrzeuge und "Spielzeug", die mit den Gästen des Lofts geteilt werden. Wintergäste können in der Garage parken.

** Das George Bailey Home und das Loft befinden sich vom Hauptteil des Resorts auf dem Hügel neben unserem Wohnmobilpark. Der Hauptteil des Resorts ist bequem zu Fuß zu erreichen, die Gäste können jedoch auch mit dem Auto fahren. Die Aussicht von diesem Ort aus ist großartig - mit Blick auf den Crested Butte-Gebirge nach Norden. **

Good location for skiing

I stayed at the property with teenagers for a ski vacation at Crested Butte. I found the property very convenient. Approximately 25 minute drive to the slopes. The property was clean. It was as expected. The hot tub is very nice. Overall we enjoyed our stay. Will stay here again.

Perfect Cabin for Medium-Sized Groups close to Crested Butte!

I rented this cabin with a few of my cousins for a family ski trip to nearby Crested Butte. The house was clean with open, natural light filled common areas and cozy rooms. The hot tub was a necessary benefit after long days of skiing. The cabin is close enough to Crested Butte to easily get to the mountain and back on a ski-day but far enough away to feel more remote. It's an easy drive and there is also a frequent bus you can take to get to the mountain. The village of Almont is also great with a wonderful bar and restaurant. I would absolutely recommend this place!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This was our 2nd year staying in the George Bailey House. We love the location and, for the most part, the house. We do find the mattresses uncomfortable - much too hard. So this time we brought our own foam pads to ensure a better night's sleep.The other minor complaint is that several windows that were broken when we rented last year were still broken this year. For a home without A/C, it's important to have good ventilation at night to cool the home down. We were surprised these windows were still an issue.Overall, the home is very clean with plenty of space for our family of 5 adults and 2 kids. We also enjoy the deck and the kids had a blast running around on the lawn. The staff at Three Rivers is always helpful and friendly. Several of us had a blast taking duckies down the Taylor River with guides from Three River's Resort. We look forward to our stay next year! (Fingers crossed the windows are repaired. :) )

Reviewer Comments: Almont is the perfect location for so many reasons, like to fish, float rivers, snow ski, ride side by sides, and hunt. 3 rivers is an awesome secret and we love staying there. The people are great and they just feel like family. But if they get too busy and booked up a yr in advance then we won’t have our perfect secret mountain paradise to count on for lodging, food, adventure, peace. We LOVE 3 rivers !!

Gorgeous home in a gorgeous location

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This is the 3rd (maybe 4th?) time we've stayed in the George Bailey house. It's a great option for two families to share. The home is always clean and the staff friendly in the office.I do have some complaints because we told the office one year ago about the SCREECHING dryer and the sliding screen door that needs repairing, yet both of these problems still exist one year later. Also, the windows are a mess and don't open and shut well at all. Since there isn't any air conditioning, it's critical to be able to use the windows. The office said they're aware of this issue, but can't get anyone in to replace the windows. Given how hot the home can get during the day, it can be uncomfortable to sleep at night even when the windows are wide open. I suggest adding AC or, at the very least, ceiling fans in all the bedrooms.

Enjoyed the hot tub as well as the house was lovely. Only issue is the wifi doesn't really work as it is too far from the main cabin. Also it was a little challenging as they got a lot of snow while we were there and so they had trouble keeping up with the shoveling/plowing. But it worked out.
