Tulip of Amsterdam
I know these reviews are meant to be short, but I need to take some time here.
First, if I could give Tulip of Amsterdam 15 stars, I would. David and Jeremy made everything perfectâand thatâs not an exaggeration! Responsive to the few questions we had (they made sure most everything was in place), the two obviously take pride in what they do.
This was our first time in Amsterdam and we didnât want a âregularâ hotel room. Some travelers may think the two (yes, there are only two) rooms are kind of âkitschyâ but we wanted something that reflected the area we traveledânot what we could find near home.
The room was comfortable and cozy. We were very appreciative of the amenities and that we were invited to use the full kitchen/common area. The room we were in was at the top of the stairs (donât be intimidated! but plan to not rush up or down them). It was toward the back of the building and that was wonderful because we had no street/canal noise. We would open a small window and hear the chiming of the church bells on the hour.
The location is also a plus. Once we got our bearings, we were a 10-minute walk to Centraal Station, close to metro/tram lines (handy for the Rijksmuseum) and restaurants/markets everywhere!
If you are planning a âfirst tripâ to Amsterdam, staying at the Tulip of Amsterdam is a must! I know we would look to staying here on our ânextâ tripâŠif we are so lucky!
