Àrto's Villa is located about 23 km outside Chania, in the village of Plaka. Plaka is one of the most popular villages of Apokoronas, in the northwest of Crete, built on a low hill with an amphitheatrical, unique view of Souda Bay.
Villa 'Arto, a tastefully decorated house, creates feelings of intimacy and tranquility for anyone who visits it, the same as those created by art, which is part of the name of the house, but also by bread, the basis of life, "artos" in ancient Greek. This was our intention, to create a minimal space with unpretentious luxury and a positive aura, which guarantees your summer relaxation and the renewal of your inner energy. In Greece, we call this summer "spending time" , "rastoni", in greek ,and you can experience it at Àrto's Villa all year round.
Our house has a swimming pool with plenty of outdoor space, a beautiful shady olive tree, a carob tree, and oleander trees, symbols and stories of centuries.
On the ground floor you will find a large open plan living area and a bright fully equipped kitchen, to make you feel truly at home. Also on the ground floor there is a WC with shower. The living room area can comfortably sleep two people.
On the first floor you will find two beautiful, very bright bedrooms with ceiling fans and air conditioning, which can accommodate 4 guests, and a spacious bathroom. The large master bedroom has a veranda with excellent views of the sea and the surrounding area, ideal for enjoying the wonderful sunset in Souda Bay.
Àrto's Villa enjoys a privileged location in the village. In a quiet neighborhood, it also offers direct access on foot to the picturesque square of the village of Plaka, next to the two supermarkets, restaurants with quality Cretan cuisine and cafes. Just three minutes by car and 15 minutes on foot, you will find yourself in the dreamy and popular Almyrida with its sandy beach and crystal clear waters, a plethora of shops, restaurants and cafes. Everything you need for a wonderful Greek Cretan summer experience. Tranquility and movement. Whatever you choose or both.
Àrto's Villa is a quiet base from where you will explore the beautiful area of Apokoronas, famous for its customs, music and culture in general, but also for its nature, its olive groves, with the possibility for jogging and hiking on its paths.
Plaka is also a good base for exploring various nearby places, such as Aptera or Lake Kournas, and many other attractions, between the wonderful Chania and Rethymno.
