Two things to know before anything else. First, access: the lift in Hobson Quay serves the building to the floor below the penthouse, and one flight of stairs is required to reach the top floor. Once inside, the apartment itself spans two levels connected by an internal staircase. This is a well-maintained, characterful configuration that guests who have stayed consistently find entirely worthwhile — but guests with mobility requirements should be aware before booking. Second, the views: from the top floor of Hobson Quay, the city and Viaduct Harbour open up in a way that a lower floor simply cannot offer, and the balcony gives you that outlook in its full form.

The apartment is generously proportioned across both levels and guests consistently single out the spaciousness as one of its standout qualities. Auckland Airport is approximately 30 to 40 minutes by car.

Please note: the lift serves to one floor below the penthouse — one flight of stairs is required to reach the top floor. The apartment then spans two levels connected by internal stairs. The staircase is well-maintained, but guests with mobility requirements or a preference for full lift access throughout should be aware of this before booking. Check in available after 3pm through lock box key collection. Lock boxes are located a short distance away, full details will be sent prior to arrival. We advise collecting the keys on your way to the apartment, if coming to the city via taxi or UBER, ask the taxi to wait a second while you collect the key. The walk to the apartment from the lock box is not far, but no one wants to walk in the city with suitcases!
