Beautiful location on the lake and amazing view from the screened in porch. The owner is very accommodating and easy to communicate with. Unfortunately we were there because our Dad was at the Togus VA hospice and the house provided our family a place to gather and be together. The kitchen is well stocked, the basement has lots of room for sleeping and playing. The living room and kitchen is open and great for family gatherings. Highly recommend this home!

Very relaxing! Great screened in porch where we spent most of our time if we weren’t fishing or floating in the water. The host was very responsive to any questions we had. Very clean. It was a great family vacation! Only negative was there are many big rocks and seaweed in the water. No place to walk in. So kayaking, canoeing and floating are your best choices. Would go back!!

Family Vacation

The home was well maintained and very pleasant, lots of room and stocked with everything we needed. Togus Pond is a very nice pond. We were a little disappointed with the area for swimming (rather rocky and weedy), but we still enjoyed the water and the canoe and kayaks.

Awesome location

The property was spacious for our group of 7. Plenty of room for kids to stretch out and enjoy. The fire pit was nice for our s’mores night and the sunsets topped it off. Laundry on site is a bonus. Not too much room for pantry items but we made it work. Overall we were pleased.

Best back porch around!

What a lovely place! Incredible screened in porch, lots of beds and a quiet relaxing spot on the water. We didn’t receive any check in info until I inquired an hour beforehand but the hosts were quick to respond and it all worked great! Lots of places to hang out, took a canoe and kayak out on the water, a fantastic getaway for our family (even with me not reading carefully and not bringing our own sheets, hah!), we loved it and would stay again!

Just Perfect

Our extended family was in town for a wedding for only three nights. This house was just right for all our needs. The decor is welcoming yet simple.The beds are comfortable. I really liked the quilts. The towels are big and fluffy.The couches are wonderful, upstairs and downstairs. Lots of chairs on the porch and out on the deck. The kitchen is well stocked. We only cooked some eggs for breakfast, but the cabinets are fitted out with an excellent assortment of cookware. Our three-year-old grandson really enjoyed exploring the outside while the adults visited on the deck. A few of our group even squeezed in a little canoeing one morning. The house feels like it's far from the city, but in reality is close to everything we needed in Augusta. Even with all our various cars, we had plenty of convenient parking!Everyone who stayed there and the family members who came by to visit all thought it was perfect.

Beautiful property But bring your own sheets!!

This house is located on a beautiful property with views of Togus Pond from the back of the house. Every evening we enjoyed sitting on the screened in back porch off the dining area to listen to the loons calling to each other. That was great! My two sisters and husband all enjoyed playing games and exploring Maine and New Hampshire. When booking the home we over looked the need for bringing your own linens for the beds. We flew in so this would not have been possible. We have rented many homes but have not had an issue with sheets before. The stairs to the basement are very steep but there is railing. It was a good stay. This would be a great place for families to enjoy the lake and the outdoors.

Disappointment in cleaning-

They need to clean, include sheets, and make sure property is ready for rental. I have reported to the owner our issues so they are aware, but it is very obvious before our rental they had not visited the home. Carpets dirty and smell like mold, hair in shower, radiator heater was on which we reported and could have been a fire, dirty underwear in the corner of a bedroom. Just gross stuff like that. And-no sheets??!!

Family Fun and Loon Calls

My husband and I plus our adult son, our daughter, son-in-law and our two young grandsons stayed at the lake house the last two weeks of August. What a beautiful, peaceful place. We loved hearing the loons calling every evening. We enjoyed using the provided paddle boat and kayaks. The outside of the house could use a little updating, specifically the front door deck, but the inside was renovated recently and very clean. We had a small family reunion on the Sunday after we checked in. The place was perfect for the gathering with plenty of outside seating provided between the screened in porch, deck and lower patio. Everyone enjoyed swimming, fishing, and paddling. The only problem we encountered was when we arrived the lock box was difficult to open. It was apparent other renters had trouble with the lock box as the door knob was loose. I would rent the house again.

Tranquil Stay

Perfect location for a quiet getaway with beautiful views of the pond and singing from Loons was great. The transition from land to the dock via the big rock covered in moss was a little difficult for someone with post foot surgery stability issues but doable. The kitchen had everything that we needed. The cleaners could have done a better job but overall it was sufficiently clean. Would definitely recommend this property and would stay here again.

Great location!

We had a nice stay at this property. Overall very clean on the inside
.the only complaint inside would be that we opened the windows to get fresh air and the windows were filthy with dirt and bugs. I bought some Clorox Cleanup and they wiped right up so we could keep them open. The quilts on the beds could use a good cleaning but we washed them and all good! Our biggest complaint would be that as you walk onto the dock it is very dangerous. Uneven wood and a huge rock you have to walk on to get there. My elderly father could not get onto the dock. The back patio by fire pit was awesome once we cleaned off the sticks and debris. The back porch was great also. The yard is very messy and could use some work. A lot of debris, rotting wood and we had to mark a big piece of wire sticking out of the ground so we didn’t step on it! Suggestions would be some more mirrors and hooks for our towels! Overall we had a great week!

Relaxing home away from home

This is a very cozy home that gives plenty of space to relax and spread out. The canoe and 2 kayaks were fantastic to have access to and this is a great location on Togus Pond. The kitchen is well stocked and we had all we needed for the bathrooms. We would definitely return!

We cannot wait to go back!

The house was extremely clean and well stocked with necessities. The beds were very comfortable. Lots of places to sleep. A few things to note: - If you are a bass fisher - there are a ton of bass in this pond. - The pond was very clean. - There are a lot of shallow rocks on both sides of the dock we were able to fit a 19inch bass tracker pro at the end of the dock no problem however. - The bed sheets are not included (VRBO listing says they were - the host did offer to bring us some however). - If you need to charge anything on the dock (boat batteries), you will need at least 150 feet of extension cords - the closest plug is in the basement. This house provided an amazing week at the lake, we cannot wait to return. The host was very easy to work with and extremely accommodating.

Super clean inside. Very relaxing.

Sept 7-10. Hot, hot, hot
.thankfully, this cabin was equipped with a window AC unit. It saved the day for us. This was such a relaxing trip. Our cabin was stocked and prepared for inside living. Upgrade and remodel of inside are great, I can see some upgrades to front yard and when complete, will be amazing. Small suggestions are all I have
 1. Spend a little more $$ on better TP. Using half a roll for use may not be cost effective. 2. Cobwebs were abundant
I’m from Maine, so I understand that task can be daunting. Just a quick brush around door frames and open porch would be great. Aside from that, I highly recommend this cabin for a trip on Togus Pond. Communication was good and stay was very comfortable. M&C

Peaceful lake time

We really enjoyed our stay at Togus Pond! The kids got to swim, fish, and ride on the kayaks, canoe, and paddle boat every day. We relaxed on the beautiful enclosed porch or the patio every day as well. The house had everything we needed and was close to great restaurants and grocery stores.
