New in our program, this home has many great reviews from past guests.

Follow the sun to Avon's oceanfront 18 unit Islander Condominium site. The condos are located within easy walking distance to the Avon Fishing Pier, many restaurants, and Club Hatteras. There is also supermarket access minutes down the street.

All units have 2 bedrooms and 2 baths. The master bedroom suite has a Jacuzzi and direct access to a deck. The combination living, dining, and kitchen areas are well furnished, spacious and comfortable to provide you the necessities while you enjoy your stay in Avon. All units have furnished covered decks for that great afternoon nap. Community amenities include a private pool and private boardwalk to one of the best beaches in the outer banks. Come to the Island for your vacation.

You will be required to sign an additional lease agreement upon making a booking which will be sent to your email. You will not be able to check in until we have received your signature electronically.

Property is very dated, old furniture, old terrible mattresses, old decor and the pillows were yellow stained when we stripped the bed. Lots of unnecessary decor cluttering living spaces and shelving in bathrooms. Master bath has no room to put any of your toiletries etc. Location and amenities of property were nice.

Nice

Overall it is a nice place. Perfect size for a family of four. It would be helpful to be able to control the temperature. We had very rainy cold days and it was cold in the house. The jet tub had debris coming out of it anytime we started it.

Island Condo in Avon NC

Perfect for a couple! Great beach access! Enjoyed being able to take advantage of sun and surf. We were too early in the season for the pool. Nice to have the deck to see the sunrise. All the convenience of home and reasonably priced!

Nice location, comfortable space

The condo is a nice, comfortable space. It has a 1990's feel to it, for sure, but was clean, had what we needed, and even a view of the ocean from the end of the deck. The pool was nice a the end of the day too. Enjoyed our stay.

Disappointed

The listing was accurate about the property but the info on the Hospitality app was not. For example, the app said to checkin at the real estate office between 4-5. I get there at 4:20 and have to call a number even though several people were inside. I never get an answer but someone comes out after about 5 min and tells me someone will send me a code when the condo is ready. I go look around and have dinner. Still no email or text with the code. About 7:30, I end up calling the emergency # and Someone calls me back with a code. So I wasted 3 hours. Then the linens were not clean - they were wet and stinky! I don’t even think the condo had been cleaned. So this part of the trip was not good. The beach and lighthouses were spectacular.

CONSTRUCTION CONSTRUCTION CONSTRUCTION and needed construction where there was no beach entry

If waking up to drilling, nailing, banging and beating is your thing....... The topper was a Hydraulic crane operator peering into our bedroom at 8:30am in full beep beep beep mode as we attempted to relax and sleep in a bit with the rainy morning... You have to disclose these things.... It was not a place to fully relax and the constant pounding made working from the deck or most areas in the house impossible.. This was a get away for my wifes 50th and we had to work some through the daytime as well. It was a nice condo but the construction above us was very rough. Also you can not list BEACH ACCESS if there is no beach access and there was NONE connected to our property as the deck steps had been wiped out.. THIS is where the construction should have been focused...

Great location, beautiful sunrises

The property was very nice. The only downfall was the 45 steps to get to the 2nd floor. Especially, when moving in. But on the plus side, it was good exercise! The sunrise over the ocean from the master bedroom was beautiful!

Our son who resides in Ca is teaching kiteboarding great to spend time with him, condo was very comfortable and had everything we needed to eat in most of the time loved the porch and of course the view.

Great condo but could be better managed

The condo was perfectly suited for our needs. Great location next to the pier and the beach. The two bedrooms and bathrooms was nice. And well stocked including Xbox as bonus. Terrace was perfect for sitting and meals. The pool was well maintained and overall grounds in good condition. A few disappointing aspects to our experience: - check in not ready by 4pm as promised. Upon arrival they informed us it could be up to 6pm which would have been good to know. They did let us use Club Hatteras pool which was nice in the meantime - the place was not well cleaned including dirty dishes, carpet stains and nail clippings on side table. We phoned and they offered to send a cleaner in but it would have been complicated with us already in there. - general conditions could have been better. Examples the dishwasher top tray was broken so it didn’t close properly. A $3 replacement part would have resolved it but it seems nobody took the initiative to replace it. The fridge door main compartment bar was missing so we couldn’t use that part. Some other compartments were held in place with electrical tape. Again a simple fix goes a long way it just takes a bit of care. - no recycling in the building was very disappointing. Apparently it is not mandatory in outer banks nor municipally provided. Residents must pay for a private service if they want it. Visiting a beautiful place like this and spending so much time in the National Seashore it’s really a disgrace that owners don’t take it upon themselves to do their part. We gathered our things up and tossed them in a neighbor’s blue bin. Check out process was very efficient using the house phone to remotely check out and leave the keys indoors.
