It has its own garden, with paddock views, as well as a hot tub for bubbling in under the stars. The 10.5-mile Strawberry Line walking and cycling route runs next to the site and there is a myriad of footpaths to follow through the Mendip Hills. Celebrated Cheddar Gorge, with its spectacular cliffs, is just 3.5 miles away.


This retreat is accessed via a lovely, private lane. Step inside to discover airy, open-plan accommodation with a warm welcome. The lounge/kitchen/diner/bedroom has been cleverly designed to encompass everything you will need during your stay. Unpack provisions in the compact kitchen, then prepare tasty, light meals and snacks. Sit down to a romantic dinner at the table and chairs, with the French doors open on fine summer days, or dine together outside, against the scenic backdrop. Read your books or watch the Smart TV, then indulge in a superb night’s sleep in the comfortable double bed. Refresh yourselves with a hot shower in the en-suite shower room when you awake, then pull on your walking boots and step out into the sunshine.


Unwind in your private seating area after your many trips out. Open a bottle of wine, gaze out across the fields or fire up the hot tub and soak in its bubbling heat. Grill supper on the shared stone-built BBQ in the shared grassy expanse, where you can also take your canine companion to unleash some energy. If you wish to bring your horse with you so you can explore the area from the saddle, please discuss this at booking. There is off-road parking here for one car.
