A rustic storybook escape with exposed stone, high ceilings, and warm wood beams—made for relaxing and reconnecting.

• Dedicated bar area for cocktails

• Fully equipped kitchen + dining table

2) Hideaway Cottage (Sleeps 4 | 2 Levels | 1 Full Bath | Pet-Friendly)

A charming private stone retreat with a unique layout and a peaceful, tucked-away feel.

• Living room with large sectional + TV

• Kitchenette for light meals (Keurig w/ complimentary coffee, air fryer, microwave, mini-fridge)

• Modern full bathroom with walk-in shower + starter toiletries

• Lower-level bedroom accessed by a spiral staircase (or exterior stone steps)



3) Honeymoon Cottage (Sleeps 2 | 1 Bedroom | 1 Full Bath)

A romantic, private stone cottage perfect for couples within your group who want their own space.

• Modern, fully equipped kitchen (stainless steel appliances + granite countertops)

• King bedroom with peaceful wooded views

• Ensuite full bathroom with step-in shower

At the center of the property is a stone courtyard with:

• Highland Cottage: 1 Queen, 1 Full, 2 Twins

• Hideaway Cottage: 2 Full beds (same bedroom, lower level)

• Honeymoon Cottage: 1 King



Guest Access:

You’ll have private access to all three cottages for the duration of your stay. Each cottage has its own entrance, and arrival is easy with self-check-in. You’ll also have access to the central courtyard with the fire pit and BBQ area.



The Neighborhood:

Chateau DuMont is located in the heart of Banner Elk, giving you quick access to the best of the High Country. Ski and snowboard days are easy with nearby Sugar Mountain and Beech Mountain. Downtown Banner Elk is just a short drive away for great restaurants, cafés, boutiques, and local charm. You’ll also find scenic hikes, Blue Ridge Mountain views, and nearby wineries to round out your mountain getaway.



Getting Around:

• Free on-site parking is included (recommended to explore the area).

• Charlotte Douglas International Airport (CLT): ~2.5-hour drive

• Asheville Regional Airport (AVL): ~1.5-hour drive

• Ride-sharing/taxi options may be available, but most guests prefer having a car. Banner Elk dining and shops are typically 5–10 minutes away by vehicle.



Other Things to Note:

Please review these important layout notes before booking:

• Three separate cottages: This is a combo stay across three individual homes on one property.

• Highland Cottage bathroom access: Highland has one full bathroom, and it is only accessible through the primary bedroom.

• Hideaway Cottage bedroom access: The bedroom is on the lower level and is reached via a narrow spiral staircase (or exterior stone steps). The living area, kitchenette, and bathroom are on the entry/main level.

• Honeymoon Cottage entry: Access is via a gentle slope from the driveway to the front door (no steps into the home, but the slope may not be suitable for all mobility levels).

• Laundry: The Honeymoon Cottage does not have a washer/dryer for guest use; a laundromat is located nearby.

• Pet-friendly note: The Hideaway Cottage is pet-friendly (please follow all house rules/pet guidelines).
