Description:  Welcome to "The Coop," a charming retreat nestled in the Lakes Community of Seven Devils, NC, offering comfortable accommodations for up to 10 guests spread across three inviting floors. As you arrive, a level gravel driveway welcomes three or four vehicles with ease, and for those driving electric vehicles, a dedicated 50-amp breaker with a 14-30 outlet (240V) is available for your convenience. Step inside to discover the main level, where an open-concept great room awaits with a cozy wood-burning fireplace, a smart TV with basic cable, a dining room, and a well-equipped kitchen. The main floor bedroom boasts a new king-size mattress and an attached bath with a tub/shower combo. However, the true highlight of the home is the covered front porch, offering idyllic views of the pond and wildlife—a perfect spot for enjoying your morning coffee or unwinding with a glass of wine in any weather. Upstairs, the loft area features another new king-size mattress, a queen-size futon, and a full bath with a tub/shower combo. Meanwhile, the basement hosts the third bedroom, complete with a new queen-size mattress and another full bath with a tub/shower combo. Additionally, the basement offers entertainment galore with a pool table, a plethora of board games, an Xbox 360, and another smart TV—ensuring endless fun for guests of all ages. Furry friends are welcome to join the fun with additional fees (maximum of 2 dogs), ensuring no family member is left behind. Discover the perfect retreat for your entire flock at "The Coop," where cozy comforts and entertainment await amidst the serene beauty of Seven Devils, NC. Please note that air conditioning is not available in this property.

Amenities: Guests of the Lakes Community have access to stocked catch-and-release ponds and a playground and tennis courts in the Seven Devils Community.

Location: This cabin is located in quaint Seven Devils, on the same mountain as Hawksnest Snow Tubing and Ziplining, and centrally located to Boone, Banner Elk, Valle Crucis and Blowing Rock in the Foscoe area. The Seven Devils community offers public basketball and tennis courts along with a children's playground. The convenient location makes it just minutes away from all the High Country’s most famous attractions such as the Blue Ridge Parkway, Tweetsie Railroad, Grandfather Mountain, Linville Falls and Caverns, and Appalachian State University.  If you are looking for winter sports there are several different options from Hawksnest Snow Tubing, Sugar Mountain Ski Resort, Beech Mountain Ski Resort, and Appalachian Ski Resort. Relax and enjoy the slow pace of the mountains and the fresh air or be adventurous and go hiking, fishing, biking, or sight-seeing. Some other things people enjoy are shopping, antiquing, skiing, golfing and miniature golfing, ziplining, go-karts, and gem mining.

The Coop is a great property

We really enjoyed the stay. The basement was a great area for our 4 teenagers to hangout, while the parents stayed upstairs. Very clean for a normal property, exceptionally clean for a property that accepts pets. Winter/ snow months a minimum of AWD should be required.

Lovely Cabin

This was a lovely cabin. We only used the loft bedroom, but the mattress was very comfortable. The deck was a wonderful place to sit. We watched the deer every evening. The cabin had every needed kitchen appliance. My only minor complaint was that there needs to be better signage at the drive. It’s impossible to see the house number until you are parked. Coming in late was a challenge.

We stayed at the "Coop" the weekend of our wedding. It is a beautiful cabin stocked with everything you need and more. The kids had a great time with the games and pool table. The only improvement I would suggest is air conditioning. Otherwise, it is perfect!

Snow weekend get-away

Loved the house and neighborhood. Felt like an adventure just getting there. Very clean and well appointed. Did not want for anything other than a longer weekend to enjoy the property. Lucky us it snowed Friday night and we were able to use the sleds on the outstanding hilly yard!

Awesome Place!!

I've rented some iffy places but most joints are overall good. This place may have been the best. What stood out is everything worked perfectly and I couldn't believe how well appointed it was.... Kitchen appliances, utensils, etc. Definitely recommend!

Fantastic property nestled in the woods on Seven Devils!

We had a wonderful time at "The Coop". The house is extremely well stocked, everything one would need to have a comfortable stay is available to be used. The home is very roomy and comfortable for a large family (we were 7 and our two 4 legged furry family members). I would recommend anyone to stay at this property.

The place was clean and well stocked with kitchen items to use. Loved the view and porch . The decor of the cabin was nice and cozy board games and pool table so nice . Being able to bring our 4 legged family member was also great . Only thing I would have liked to have had TV s in bed rooms but other than that it was the absolute perfect place . Will definitely recommend the cabin and rental company and use them again .

Amazing home for a family

Everything about the house was lovely. The beautiful community it’s set in, the morning abs evening views from the porch, the thoughtful details throughout the house. Beds were comfy (and pre made!), nice towels provided, and such cool decor! Lots of extras- games, walking sticks, appliances. Perfectly clean as well. We also enjoyed the location- close to grandfather mt and otter falls, plus a few good restaurants nearby (all dog friendly if outside!)

Wonderful place

Beautiful view, wonderfully stocked kitchen. No AC 😞, it was warmer inside than out. Nice walking, especially near the two lakes. Convenient to Boone, Blowing Rock and their great eating places. Enjoyed visiting The Mast General Store in Valle Crusis.

Summer Mountain Trip

What a great house! We had an amazing time with family celebrating the 4th of July. The kitchen is well stocked which made it great for making meals. Tons of games for family time and a wonderful view of the mountains and pond. We will definitely come back. Thanks for making your house available.

Coop Get Away

Let me start by saying overall the house was great! Kitchen was well stocked and organized. Bathrooms were clean! Downstairs area with pool table was perfect for grandkids! The view from the back porch was super. As a VRBO property owner myself, I am very critical about several things when I visit another VRBO property. The home was listed as pet friendly, which as a dog owner, is always a plus. On this trip we left our 3 small dogs at home. The issue I had was that there was too much dog hair remaining in the carpets and on the furniture throughout the home. My 18 month grandbaby spent time lots of time on the floor so it was a problem for sure. It seems the home is in need of a MUCH better vacuum or more conscientious cleaning crew! No excuse for seeing pet hair. The only other recommendation is the baseboards were in need of some attention. The dust was very visible. Yes, we would stay there again! Simply recommending some attention to detail with regard to vacuuming and dusting.

Great place, close to skiing

The property was very nice and well kept. A lot of room for kids and adults to have their own space. Many amenities including games for kids, plenty of kitchen and bathroom items, and a beautiful back deck. The second night after dark their seemed to be a lot of noise from the neighbors who were outside late playing music along with dogs barking until 4 in the morning. It could be heard through the bedroom on the main level. Other than the outside sound issue at night it was an overall great property.
