This elegant neighborhood is known for its historic architecture and high-end shopping scene, and there's no shortage of things to see and do nearby. Charlottenburg Palace, a Baroque castle that is now a museum, is worth a visit. Other neighborhood highlights include the Deutsche Oper Berlin and Schaubühne, a three-stage Modernist theater designed by Erich Mendelsohn. There's also the lovely Forst Grunewald, a vast greenspace located along the western border of the neighborhood. Charlottenburg is served by several U-Bahn and bus lines.
