Tempelhof is an up and coming Berlin area within the borough of Tempelhof-Schöneberg, with plenty of places to eat and shop and lots to do. The neighborhood takes its name from the decommissioned Tempelhof Airport, which is now a vast green space with communal gardens and pleasant picnic areas. One notable highlight is the ufaFabrik performing arts center, where you can see live theater, concerts and dance performances. Locals love the Krummer Pfuhl, an enclosed deer park. There's also the Fliegerviertel area, known for its brightly painted row houses. Tempelhof is served by several U-Bahn stations and bus lines.
