Whether you are relaxing in the sun-drenched loft or enjoying a BBQ on your private deck as the sun sets behind the gums, this chalet provides the perfect setting for a peaceful family holiday or a couple getaway.
The Space
Pademelon Patch Chalet features a contemporary, light-filled interior defined by crisp white walls and warm timber-look flooring. The ground floor offers a seamless flow from the open plan living area, complete with plush leather seating and a flat screen TV, to a modern and efficient kitchenette. This space is equipped with a microwave, mini fridge, and stainless steel sink, all framed by a scenic window.
The master bedroom on the ground floor is a cozy retreat with forest green accent walls and high-quality linens. A sleek, modern bathroom with a walk-in shower is conveniently located just off the main hallway.
Upstairs, the spacious loft provides an airy sleeping area with one king bed and one single bed, illuminated by stylish woven pendant lighting and large windows that frame the rolling hills.

A car is essential for staying at Black Hills to explore the surrounding region effectively. The property is approximately a 10-minute drive from New Norfolk and 45 minutes from Hobart. The driveway is gravel but well-maintained and suitable for standard 2WD vehicles.

Guests have exclusive access to the entirety of Pademelon Patch Chalet and its private deck. Please note that there is a second chalet on the property, Wallaby Way Chalet, and the main house, but all are positioned to ensure guest privacy. Shared areas include the main driveway, the surrounding acreage, and the laundry.

Beyond the comfort of your private chalet, guests have access to shared facilities and expansive grounds designed to enhance the rural experience. Whether you are enjoying a quiet morning among the gum trees or preparing for a day of exploring Tasmania, these spaces are available for all guests.

A dedicated external laundry hut is equipped with a modern washing machine, dryer, ironing board, and iron, ideal for longer stays.

In addition to your private deck, a larger sheltered communal dining space is available. It features a gas BBQ and a spacious outdoor table, perfect for gathering with fellow guests and enjoying a meal in a different part of the property.

Please ensure the laundry door is securely latched after use to prevent local wildlife from entering.
While the chalet was previously part of the Heimat Farmstay, the property no longer operates as a farm stay. It now offers a peaceful and private bush retreat experience.
