Dieses DIAMANT-EIGENTUM wurde komplett renoviert, um den Standards eines "Schnitts ĂŒber" zu entsprechen. Sticks n 'Stones ist brandneu und wurde innen und außen renoviert. Es gibt eine untere Einheit, "Stöcke" und eine obere Einheit, "Steine". Kombinieren Sie beide Einheiten fĂŒr vier Schlafzimmer.

The Good-The apartment is in a great location within easy walking distance of Main Street. It is clean and reasonably well-equipped The Bad-you can hear everything from the people staying in the apartment above-every footfall, every toilet flushThe Ugly-When we checked in it was 56 degrees in the room. As the thermostat didn't cause any change in temperature, I called the host for help. She suggested that the gas fireplace alone would heat the whole apartment in less than an hour so that is what we should use, at least until the central heater might begin to work. When I told her that the unvented fireplace's unburnt fumes gave us headaches, she exploded into a rage and began screaming at me. Then a different host, a man, came on the line and said we should wait an hour to see if the central heating system would fix itself. I didn't see how that would be possible, but agreed to wait an hour. We did, and...surprise!, no, the heater didn't fix itself. To his credit, when I called back the host did arrange for repairs to be made that evening while we were eating out, and when we returned the heater was working. The low review is not so much for the problem as for the way it was handled.

The location of this unit is amazing. Right across from Hellbender, a block from Blowing Rock Brewing and a quick 5 minute walk to Main Street with cute shops and amazing downtown playground and park. There is also a park behind the unit. The unit was clean and comfortable. We were there for two nights with no one above us the first night. The second night we could hear the top unit guests but quickly quieted down around 10:00pm. We enjoyed the gas fire pit out back.

Excellent vacation, perfect location.

I have to start by saying the host is amazing. Everything that is listed about this property is accurate. Very clean, beautiful manicured yard and wonderful for dogs. The kitchen has anything you need. Walking to downtown is such a short distance. You’ll be so happy you stayed at this location. We are already planning our next trip with all of our family to stay at this location. Highly recommended for a couple nights or a week.

A Week in Blowing Rock

Our stay at Sticks was very nice. Unfortunately, our second home in Banner Elk was destroyed during Hurricane Helene, and we needed a place to stay nearby with our two dogs. As it turned out, we were three doors from our architect. Having a fenced yard was a plus, although we never let our beagle off leash because we didn’t totally trust her. My only compete about the house was that the bath towels were not at all absorbent. Everything else was great!

Perfect pup friendly accomodations with great location

Fabulous stay in Blowing Rock. The location and accomodations couldn't be any more perfect. It was a very short walk to Main Street yet super quiet. Check-in & check-out were super easy & I found what was asked from us before leaving (take out trash, empty fridge & put dirty towels in the tub) was beyond reasonable and I appreciated the simplicity. This is a VERY dog friendly town and a very dog friendly 2BR. Karen even had a basket of poop bags, dog shampoo & towels which was a nice surprise. Despite this property allowing dogs, it was super clean and didn't smell of dog or have the typical dog hair looming (I have allergies to shedding dogs and didn't have an issue). I appreciated that the kitchen had many of the shelf stable staples including extra trash bags, dishwasher tabs and washer dryer tabs & dryer sheets. We left part of our hearts in Blowing Rock and plan to visit again soon and when we do, we will certainly stay again at Sticks & Stones! Thank you, Karen!

Beautifully redone home with location , location, location!

If you are looking for a beautifully redone, clean home in the heart of Blowing Rock, look no further. Steps away from dining, shopping and playgrounds. A 10-15 minute drive to hiking, kayaking, axe throwing and mini-golf. This property is perfect for a family of 4 and doggies too! At the home, evenings can be enjoyed around the fire pit, sitting on the front porch listening to bird call or inside watching your favorite shows on tv. The kitchenette was well stocked with cutlery, utensils, cookware and dinnerware. The laundry closet came in handy after long days hiking and one must mention the superb water pressure and hot water used for showering! Having on site parking was absolutely wonderful too! My family and I really enjoyed our stay here and highly recommend others to visit The Sticks.

The best in downtown!

My husband and I have stayed at Sticks numerous times with our labradoodle since it first joined the rental market, and it’s one of our favorite vacation rentals in Blowing Rock. Sticks is always spotless and well-maintained. We love the fenced-in front yard for our dog, extremely comfortable master bed, excellent water pressure in the shower, and privacy off the road. The location is perfect to walk everywhere downtown. If you stay on a Friday between May and October, Sticks is a great location to hear music from the lawn at The Inn at Ragged Gardens. The only rental from Diamond with better seating for the concert is A Stone’s Throw, the red house in front of Sticks. Sticks is best suited for two adults and one or two children based on the living space. You can hear people moving about upstairs when Stones is rented, but if you expect that, it’s not a big deal. This time, we were solo in the duplex. A lot of our favorite restaurants have closed (RIP Savannah Oyster House and Sunny Rock Eggs and Things), but definitely check out Social on Main for breakfast, and The Speckled Trout for lunch/dinner. A local suggested The Artisan for dinner in Banner Elk, and we may try them on a future visit. You can’t go wrong with any property owned by Karen Diamond. Her attention to detail on the decor, furnishings, and home comforts is the absolute best. We can’t wait for our next visit!

Very nice property and convenient to Main Street. Property is very small especially bedrooms. Bath rooms, beds and kitchen nice. Living area furniture is uncomfortable. No one in above property so cannot comment on noise level.
