Located directly on Lake Charlevoix and only 2 miles from Downtown Boyne City the Porter Creek LN. Cottage will provide you a unique balance of nature and amenities. The property accommodates 11 bed for sleeping, a spacious living room with fireplace and an updated kitchen. From the front of the property enjoy 105 feet of sandy Lake Charlevoix with a large new dock for swimming. From the rear of the property enjoy a cup of coffee or have a fire along Porter Creek which flows directly through the property. The property is 2 miles to Boyne City, 5 miles from the landing and a short drive to Charlevoix, Petoskey and Harbor springs. If you like to Ski or would enjoy the water park we’re 10 minutes to Boyne Mountain.

Great location with view of the lake and the creek right next to the house in the back. Beautiful. Tony was very responsive when we arrived and there was no heat. Got fixed quickly and we enjoyed our three days.The only reason I didn’t rate a five was due to not being able to reach the host to figure out how to get network channels to watch the game.Great property. Would recommend!

The house was comfortable with beautiful views of the lake and babbling brook. The lake was pristine and the dock allowed us easy access. The kitchen had everything you could need and the grill worked perfectly. We enjoyed a relaxing 4 days.

I grew up in Boyne City and lived there until my early 20's. I picked this rental to bring my family because it's one of the few houses between Boyne City and Advance that's right on the lake (where Lakeshore Drive doesn't cut between the house and the lake). Porter Creek runs through the back yard with a deck overlooking it. My son caught a couple nice trout. The front yard leading down to the lake is huge, big enough we played whiffle ball. We enjoyed the fire pit and great sunsets in the evenings (firewood was provided). We found tons of Petoskey Stones. There were tubes and a paddleboard the kids to use, and there's a nice dock with a ladder to get in and out of the water. The neighbors are close, but very cordial. One let the kids cut through his property to access the mouth of Porter Creek (lots of Petoskey Stones and more fishing there). We cooked all our meals at the house, it has everything you need to cook a big meal. The 3 seasons room on the front of the house was great for morning coffee. From the house it's 5 minutes to Boyne City, 5 minutes to Ye Nyne golf course, 10 minutes to the Ironton Ferry and less than 15 minutes to Boyne Mountain. Really just a perfect spot that's quiet, yet close to everything.

We had a wonderful week enjoying a Michigan summer. The house if fully equipped for all of your needs. It is comfortable, inviting and has a great flow. Sam, the property manager, is near to help or text your questions to. There is a huge yard to play family whiffle ball and other games and no busy road to cross to get to the lake. We watched the 4th of July fireworks right on the dock! Bonfires, paddleboarding, fishing off the dock and riding our ebikes into Boyne City. We had a fantastic time and we will be back.

Fun week

February Ski Trip with teens

What a great place and exactly as listed. It was 15 minutes from Boyne Mountain and 7 minutes to the cute Boyne City area with grocery and restaurants nearby. The property manager was very easy to contact, checkin was a breeze. Highly recommend this property. We had 2 adults and 7 teens and the space was perfect for us.

Holiday Weekend Retreat!

This cozy cottage was a great location for our ski trip as it was close to Boyne Mountain and not too far to Nubs. Unfortunately, extreme wind chills kept us inside which we didn't mind as the cottage is cozy and charming. It has a great open floor plan that allowed our family to be together as we played games and. We loved the location with the running creek behind the house and lake in front. The kitchen was fully equipped as we cooked every meal to avoid adventuring out in the sub 0 wind chills.We will be returning again in the not too distant future.Thank you sharing your home with my family.

Family Ski Trip

First time to visit the area and it's lovely! We were there for a quick winter ski trip and house is only about 15 minutes from Boyne Mountain. Downtown Boyne City is about 5 minutes away and incredibly charming and it's a short drive to Petoskey also. Open floor plan is great and allowed us to all be together. It was great for a winter trip, but it would be an amazing home for a summer getaway! I can just picture dinner on the platform that overlooks the creek behind the house. Thanks for a great visit and for sharing your home with us!

Great cabin on the lake!

Cute, well-maintained cabin on the lake with a wonderful creek running through the backyard. This home had everything we needed for a relaxing 3-day family getaway. Kitchen was fully outfitted, beds were comfy, and the house was clean. Excellent location and friendly neighbors. Short drive into town with easy access to restaurants, groceries, etc. What’s not to like?!

Awesome Boyne City Cottage!

The house was perfect for our family's first time in northern Michigan. It is well stocked with everything you could need for cooking, hanging out (we especially loved the karaoke machine and the two fire pits!), and enjoying the lake. It's tucked into a quiet neighborhood off of the main road with friendly neighbors. Our dogs loved running in the large lawn that extends to the lake! Thank you for an awesome stay!

Fun with Family and Friends

We had a amazing time at this wonderful lake house. The home had everything we needed and more than we expected. The house was very clean, comfortable with very nice amenities. The kitchen was very well appointed with everything you need to make anything you want. They even had a great knife set to make prep easy as well. The creek at out the back is the hidden gem of this place. Coffee by the creek with the sounds of bubbling water, ducks swimming by and even a deer joined us one morning. The HUGE yard is awesome for the kids, the dock is really nice to swim from and load and unload boats, kayaks and other beach toys. The two different fire pits were really nice to have as well. Overall a great place and the location is close to everything you need. A marina right next door with a boat ramp, a gas dock within 1/4 mile, less than 10 minutes to Boyne City . Thanks again we will be back!!!! We highly recommend.

Family 4th of July

We wanted to celebrate our daughter’s engagement with the family over the 4th of July holiday. This was a perfect spot and the cottage was comfortable, clean, full of everything we could need for our family celebration. We enjoyed dining outside and the beautiful views of Lake Charlevoix. The park-like setting was perfect for outdoor activities. Everyone loved the accommodations and the location. We will be back!

It was exactly as described in the listing! we had an amazing time with our family and friends celebrating Christmas and New Year! The cabin was very cozy, and clean with a perfect location. Perfect getaway on Lake Charlevoix

Our week long stay on this gorgeous property was pretty much perfect with warm temperatures all week, sunrise coffee on the dock, fall colors, crystal, clear, calm lake, and a perfect day out on the boat. We loved everything about this property! Can’t wait to come back next fall. oh, and SAM!!! Sam the property manager is amazing!! He made our vacation better in so many ways. He’s one of many reasons we’ll come back.
