Welcome to Wing Haven – your bird-inspired refuge for adventure and relaxation in the North Carolina mountains. Located in the gated Line Runner Ridge development near Rosman, Wing Haven is a great jumping off point for all the hiking, biking, fishing and water recreation that the area has to offer. The trails and magnificent waterfalls of Gorges State Park, Dupont State Forest, and Pisgah National Forest and the charming town of Brevard are all nearby and the Biltmore Estate, Asheville, Highlands, Cashiers and Waynesville are about an hour or less away. You can also choose to just stay in and enjoy the peaceful setting at the house and private neighborhood lake that is a 1/4 mile walk or drive away and is stocked with catch and release bass, bream and catfish. Two kayaks at the lake are available for your use.
The new build house features a front porch and a spacious back deck where you can sit with friends and family, observe the natural surroundings or take a dip in the 6-person hot tub. A gas grill and gas fire pit on the deck are available to keep you fed and warm. The living room has a flat screen TV for streaming your favorite shows and a gas fireplace. Everything you need is in the thoughtfully appointed kitchen including a dishwasher, microwave, coffee maker, gas stove, large island, spices, paper products and plenty of pantry space for storing your food. The master bedroom has a king size bed and en suite bathroom with dual sinks and a tiled, walk-in shower. There are two additional bedrooms – one with a queen size bed and one with two twins – a full bathroom with shower/tub combo serves that part of the house.
Wing Haven is designed to be very accessible for folks with mobility issues. A portable ramp is available for the two steps from the garage to the single level house and the doors to the master bathroom are wide enough to accommodate a wheelchair or walker.

We greatly enjoyed our long weekend stay in February at this home, WingHaven. Everything was as I expected according to the description. The home is very comfortable and had everything that we needed. The host, Greg, was quick and helpful with communication. The house was perfectly clean.Specifically, we enjoyed the modern kitchen and Master bedroom suite, hot tub, and general woods environment. There is a lake nearby which is beautiful. The home is on an unpaved road that is steep and bumpy in portions. We didn't have trouble driving on it; however, it may be important for some folks to be aware. Thank you so much. I'd love to stay here on a return trip to the Brevard area.

House is extremely clean, comfortable, “homey”feel, tasteful decor, great well equipped kitchen, private setting, cozy gas fireplace and deck gas firepit, plenty of household supplies provided, convenient to attractions and Cashiers area. We highly recommend this new mountain home! Only hiccups are the 2 mile narrow, windy gravel type road to get to and from house and power outages (we had one on check out morning, no electric or water) otherwise house is perfect and we enjoyed our stay.

Comfortable and super clean home!

We really enjoyed our stay. The house has plenty of space and is super clean. The owner is thoughtful in keeping the house stocked with all of the necessary goods/items to make your stay comfortable and enjoyable. I would definiately recommend this home to others and would love to stay again on a return trip to the Brevard area.

The home is located in a private gated community directions were easy to follow however, coming in after dark can be a little daunting not knowing the road as there are plenty of drop offs. The property offered kayaks and paddle boards, which worked well for our family to enjoy the mountain lake, which was surprisingly warm and inviting with no additional outside traffic of others..

Very nice home but bad location

The home was very nice; clean, well stocked, comfortable. The master bed was very comfortable to sleep on. We only used one bedroom as there were just two of us. The kitchen was well-appointed and contained everything we needed. But the house was further from Brevard than we thought (25-30 minute drive to town). And it was up a very rough two-mile gravel road that was difficult to maneuver. I think that should have been mentioned in the home’s description. We would not have driven my husband’s sports car had we known about the poor condition of the road.

Peaceful getaway

We really enjoyed our time spent at this house. It was very clean, quiet, and well equipped. We really enjoyed the kayaks and hot tub and the arcade kept my kids busy when it was raining. Overall it was a wonderful experience!

Best vacation in a long time!

House was clean and had everything that we could have needed. Decided on a last minute trip for my birthday. Found this property and gave it a shot. It was perfect. The property manager was very responsive, the house was clean and have everything we meeded. The house was perfect. We enjoyed the hot tub. Would definitely stay there again.

Lovely long term stay

We stayed for a month over the holidays and it was great. The house has everything you need and more to make you feel at home. Fully stocked kitchen, spacious master bedroom bath and many others. It is nice to have the lake walking distance. There is a property manager who lives across the street and came by to maintain the jacuzzi regularly. The only downside from our experience is the cleanliness. Upon arrival, it was very dusty, the cabinets had fingerprint smears in the kitchen and bathroom and when I notified the host, they seemed offended even though I offered to show them photos. I would say if this house got a good deep cleaning it would be an easy 5 star experience. While the house has plenty of outdoor space the neighbors are rather close and drive by quite frequently.

New house in Rosman

The house and all the furnishings were great and the hot tub was perfect for the cool nights. The location was between DuPont and Highlands so we were able to do all the sightseeing we wanted. I was really looking forward to kayaking on the lake but the rest of my group wasn’t up for that. We really appreciated the Brevard restaurant menus and loved The Square Root. My only complaint was the 2 mile gravel road. We almost rode a motorcycle and would have had issues getting to the house. Please make a note in the description that the road is gravel.

Extremely Peaceful

This is a special place! A considerable amount of effort has been spent on making this a perfect home away from home. We spent many hours at the private lake, using the provided kayaks, as well as our own tubes, and enjoyed just floating/relaxing the day away. The house itself was more than equipped for our needs, including the fully stocked pantry, the cookware, and the spacious kitchen area. The hot tub was a hit with all of us after long days of hiking. We also utilized the outside fire pit for s’mores each night. There was plenty of firewood available as well. We also enjoyed the gas fire pit table within the screened deck where we enjoyed our morning coffee. In a nutshell, this was a very comfortable and enjoyable time in a property that provided a lot of amenities that we truly appreciated. Thank you again for sharing your place with us!

The BEST hideaway in the hills of NC

My family of 6 stayed here for one week and absolutely fell in love with the area and the home as well. We were visiting family that live in Brevard, so it was a short drive to their house (20 Min) or to anywhere else we wanted to explore as well. The home itself is well appointed with 3 bedrooms and 2 full baths along with a screened in porch and hottub. My husband is a full-time wheelchair user and had no issues getting into or out of the home using the portable ramp in the garage. The master bedroom was perfect for our needs and fit all of our additional medical equipment well. Our 4 kiddos enjoyed walking the neighborhood and swimming and kayaking in the nearby lake. We look forward to renting this home again in the future!

Wonderful Couples Vacation

Our anniversary trip to Brevard was wonderful. The owner was very responsive and even adjusted our travel dates at the last minute to accommodate a schedule change for us. We plan a couples trip every year, always utilizing rentals, and this house was one of the best we have stayed at. I think the owners have put a lot of thought into what a rental needs and have done everything to provide that. Our only complaint would be that it was not as secluded as we would have hoped. This only became an issue one night when we were enjoying the hot tub after dark. Otherwise, we give the place and the owner a solid 10/10. We have already started planning another trip and hope this house is available for that trip as well.
