Quiet, quaint and clean

We really enjoyed this cottage. Very clean. Unique in a number of aspects. Lots of ways to relax and enjoy the setting. Katelyn was right on top of it for everything we needed. This one is on the short list for the next time we are in this area.

Great family trip

Sarah and her place was just what we needed. My kids didn’t want to leave and loved the loft. The outdoor space was so wonderful too, such a cute, quiet spot, more then I thought it would be..We had pretty much everything we needed there and check in was smooth. We are definitely planning another trip there soon :)

Perfect girls get-away!

Such an inviting eclectic cabin! The beds were comfy, and by far the cleanest rental any of us had ever stayed in. We had everything we needed plus some! Host Sarah was quick to respond, and details for the stay were great. We loved sitting by the fire at night and staring at the amazing view of the stars. This was the perfect in-between location if you wanted to travel to areas like sliding rock, looking glass falls, and rainbow falls. We would highly recommend and return!

Cozy and Magical Hideout in the woods

We spent over a week in Sacred Roots enjoying the weather and beautiful surroundings. Fireplace in and outside most helpful in a very private environment. Many waterfalls in the area to explore. Must drive to Brevard for shops and restaurants about 20 minutes. Excellent bed and comfortable hang area. Lots of games and books. Quick communication as well. Thank you!

Relaxation station

Was looking for a place to just unwind and relax. This was it. Plenty of places and ways to get away from it all, and yet there is plenty to do while at this cottage. The place is beautifully decorated and there is always something new to notice. Lots of information on the local area for hikes through the mountainside and plenty in the area to do if you like to get out with nature. Definitely worth our stay and will look forward to a return visit. Host was very responsive in all communications as well.

Adorable

You know that book store or coffee shop that you love and it makes you want to stay there all day and just relax? That is this cottage. Our family had an amazing time. Thank you for putting so much thought into the decor and the extras around the cottage. Clean towels and pillows in the closet. It poured rain the whole time we were there and that just made it even better. We will be back.

Kick back and relax

We were looking for an isolated, comfortable cottage where we could kick back and relax, and that's what we found. Everything we needed was there. I was especially pleased with the quality of the wi-fi and the very nice screened-in porch. Both of us enjoyed out stay.

An Absolute Treasure

What a perfect getaway to truly relax! The Sacred Roots Cabin will forever be a favorite place of ours to stay. Sarah was so attentive and we loved the feng shui of the place We want to visit again in the warmer months although the fireplace was super cozy. We will be back soon, thanks again Sarah!

Eclectic Cabin in the forest

Glad we picked the cabin. Its almost winter (leaves have dropped) but you can barely see one other cabin. Its like your alone in the woods. Cabin has a nice loft and a proper bedroom with attached bath. Not a bad drive to Brevard about 20 minutes. The town of Rosman has the basics but for good meals and most shopping your going to brevard.

Perfect place for us!

The cabin was cozy, warm and decorated perfectly for us. Very eclectic and artsy, funky. Loved it! Stocked with everything you need. Property was super fun with 2 outdoor fire pits, walking trails in the woods(Moss!!!) and 2 minute drive to the lake. Just perfect! 😀

Beautiful place to relax

My family and I truly were impressed by this little gem of a cottage! Every nook and cranny was filled with artistic love! It felt like home, and we were able to soak up all of its comforts! It didnt lack one single thing, everything we needed was there. Super clean, fresh flowers were in tiny vases, cozy fire place, adorable sitting area, gorgeous view off the leaves changing on the trees, perfect fire pit, everything felt peaceful. The only thing that I didnt like was the rocky road to the cottage was a bit rough. However my tiny little ford escape handled it just fine! We will definitely be back!

Peaceful Mountain Hobbit Get-a-way

This cottage delivered it all! Tranquil, heart warming, delightful decor. Awesome firepits and paths run thru the property for great nights by the campfire and mini hikes. Everything you would need for a great vacation spot was provided. Sarah was a kind and gracious host.

Zen Retreat

We absolutely loved this retreat, and our only regret was that we planned too many activities that took us away from the property. It appears that the host must spend plenty of time here as well, so it felt more like we were visiting a friend rather than staying in a vacation house. The kitchen is well-stocked, the book shelves are filled with interesting books, the screen porch and front porch and well-groomed grounds provide plenty of outdoor seating and trails to explore. If you need the loft sleeping area, be sure someone feels comfortable climbing the ladder. The view from the loft is the best view of the whole house, and a small restroom is located there for convenience. We hope to return to this retreat, but next time it will be a destination rather than home base for our outdoor adventures. We truly felt like we cheated ourselves by spending so much time away.

Beautiful cabin

So many great qualities at Sacred Roots: I loved all of the beautiful flowers on the porch, ferns along the forest line. Calming spa music playing when we arrived, and fresh flowers floating in a bowl. Lovely touches (my favorite was the collection of pottery mugs). Sarah was also quick to respond when I had technical difficulties with the lock box. Overall, a beautiful spot that feels secluded enough without being too far away from others. Night can be unsettling, however, as the front door and several windows don't have coverings on them. Outdoor lighting is minimal. Location is about 20 minutes outside of Brevard. High Falls/Rainbow Falls are about 45 minutes away. Rainbow Falls is definitely worth the drive.

Perfect Mountain Getaway

Tranquil and Cozy

We had a little difficulty at the outset with the lockbox. But, after figuring it out we opened the door to the beautiful house. We loved the decorations, the plants, the crystals, and the books. Spent most of the day exploring the grounds, and a lot of time on the swing, before heading off to see the waterfalls. We felt the love, care and the spirituality of the place. We loved it! It was perfect.

Quiet retreat

The only bad thing was that I didn’t really get to relax and sit for awhile at the cottage 😊. Beautiful place, very quite! There is so much to see and do around Brevard, hiking, waterfalls, small town atmosphere!! Plan one day to stay ‘home’ at the cabin to enjoy the quietness and rest! Saw a hummingbird hit the fish is outside the screened in porch đŸ„°.

Shelter from the storm

I’m a caregiver and I was getting burnt out. Sarah’s place was the perfect hideaway for my friend and I. Very cozy and clean. And I’m picky about clean! It poured rain while we were there but that was fine. The screened in porch is a perfect place to read or watercolor paint. In between downpours we did a little exploring and this is an exceptional area. The cottage has everything you could need. I even recognized some of my favorite books. Thank you Sarah for the literal and figurative shelter from the storm!
