Quiet and Beauty

We spent the New Years holiday at Ocean Mist with our daughter and son in law. Its a perfect setting, close to the coast, close to Fiscalini Park, and in the quiet peaceful neighborhood of Marine Terrace. We have stayed at Ocean Mist several times and love the casual, warm, comfortable atmosphere, and well appointed home. We will come back again. Carol and Fred

Little but lovely

Property was clean and so well stocked. The only spice I couldn't find was cinnamon. A short walk to two small beaches as well as a 2 mile nature hike along the water. A short drive into town but easily done. Love Cambria!

Beautiful Cambria

Wonderful location to walk and hike around Cambria with our dogs. Loved the fenced yard and all the amenities the house offered. Very clean and well stocked. Would stay there again!

Cool and comfortable

This is a wonderful home, in a perfect setting. We had a great time and were rescued from the heat of our regular home. Everything went well except for the smoke alarms going off unexpectedly and we had quite a time figuring out how to unplug them. It seemed that the batteries were low and so we finally switched around some batteries and that seemed to work, but we did call the emergency number quite a few times with no response. It could have beeped all night if we didn't figure it out so for next time, if you leave an emergency number, please respond. Otherwise, it was really great. Carol and Fred

Wonderful Vacation!

My mother and I spent 3 nights at Ocean Mist. The location is ideal...you can see the ocean from the upstairs balcony. The beds are super comfy. The house had ample kitchen supplies for our stay. Our dog enjoyed the house and spying on doggies walking by during the day. Many walking and running trails are nearby at Fiscalini Reserve. We will definitely be back!

Needs deep cleaning

The house is nice, but not very clean. Found cobwebs and dust batches tucked away..went to wash my teeth in am and felt something crawling in my foot. Turned out I disturbed a spider in the spider web.. Lots of dust and dirt batches that came out when the wind blew in. The windows ate super rusty and unable.to open without breaking your nail. Most of the skillets are scratched to their core. The bed in the master bedroom was awful. The downstairs bathroom needs locks and to fix the water pressure in the sink. The grill works but doesn't grill. Pros: although not close to anything, the house is set nicely to enjoy the ocean view. The massage chair was amazing. The smaller bedroom was nice. The house is well stocked with towels and blankets, kitchen ware and spices. We would stay there again if it gets cleaned better.

Great location for walking

This is not super close (have to drive) to the downtown areas, but the proximity to the beach and to the preserve for nice long walks was amazing. We cooked a lot of meals and did not come up short on ANYTHING we needed. And there are some thoughtful touches throughout--a flashllight at the entry table for taking out trash; dog toys and bags if you bring your dogs (we didn't, but still); sand toys for kids in the laundry room; laundry soap provided so you don't have to buy a huge bottle to do one load. Just nice, thoughtful amenities. We very much enjoyed our stay. Also, i have bad allergies and the lack of carpeting and the cleanliness was much appreciated! i felt great the whole time!

Lovely beach house

We LOVED everything about this house! Perfect location to beach access for ride pooling during low tides and great hiking/walking access to the ranch park. The patio area was a nice surprise also- very big and good for the dogs. I would have preferred to sign rental agreement on-line and to have had the door access code texted to me (arrived after hours) instead of having to drive to the office to pick up an envelope with the code in it! After a 5hr drive and arriving after 10pm we would have appreciated just going directly to the house. I assumed there was actual keys that needed physically picked up. :(

A nice time away

We wanted a home away from home during COVID for a week. We were told at check-in the dishwasher was broken. We cooked all but one meal and had to hand wash the dishes, more work than at home. Breen is extremely busy and I'm still waiting to hear from the office. Also fire alarm went off early Sun morning for a low battery & we had to wait outside with the dog because of the loud alarm.

Good location and well stocked

This is our first stay in Cambria after multiple trips to Cayucos and Pismo. The house was in a good location blocks from the beach (rocky with lots of tide pools) and fiscalini ranch which offers lots of hiking options. The house is well stocked with spices, towels, and some beach toys. Better than the average rental. Great view of the ocean from the deck. Also pet friendly which is difficult to find!

Perfect Location

The location, the home and agency was great. Agency was quick to respond and more than helpful. The neighborhood was exactly what we enjoy. Close to the beach, but surrounded by deer. I recommend a cable TV update, old equipment required multiple reboot efforts. Living room sofa and chair should be updated for comfort. Other than those few update needs, we would recommend this home to others and we would return.

Our stay at Ocean Mist

Our stay was wonderful! The house is inviting and cozy with a nice view of the ocean one street away. You can hear waves crashing on shore and the seals from inside the house with the balcony door open. There's a nice little balcony to enjoy the sights and sounds of the ocean, and it's a delightfully quiet neighborhood. The only thing we would change is the couch if you plan on spending time on it relaxing, reading, enjoying the fireplace, or watching Christmas movies. That was the only thing not cozy or comfortable about this little gem of a place.

great location

Stayed for 9 nights in August 2019. Cute little house, excellent location, extremely well equipped kitchen. Appreciate that dogs are allowed. REALLY needs more furniture in the living room - if the owners could add a loveseat or second armchair would make it a lot more comfortable especially if you have more than 2 people. Also the fence around the yard is a little low for a large dog so be aware of that. My primary complaint is that the VRBO listing said that if booked for 6 nights, the 7th night was free even in the summer - however, the invoice billed me for the 7th night. The management company said that was a VRBO issue. VRBO never responded to my query. So that is not acceptable.
