Upon opening the front door with a Christmas wreath on it in late March, the mothball smell was overwhelming and off putting as soon as we walked in. Then upon walking into the kitchen to put things for our stay away I noticed dirty,unmaintained, worn kitchen cabinets. They are filthy on the inside and outside, they are sticky and greasy. The drawer pulls are loose and spin when you try to use them. The fridge stunk. In the living room, the loveseat’s back leg is broken. Sunroom chairs are stained with white substance. An open and spilled trash bag was left next to the outdoor shower. There were trash containers with trash inside the outdoor shower. I did not pick it up or move it. The garage smells of cigar/cigarette smoke. The carpet on the 2nd floor has many bleach stains on it. The bathroom throw rugs appear dirty, worn and matted down. The living room fireplace's remote is missing. Dining table chairs were sticky which I noticed after sitting down and the sticky substance transferred to my pants. I found the mattress comfortable but some of the linens were torn and stained and the primary bedroom linens were very rough. Some important soap dispensers in the showers/baths were empty. The property is not being well maintained and obviously is being managed by a corporate management company and not by an invested owner. Additionally, the listing is really a Vacasa rental not VRBO.
