Čapljina serves as a gateway to Herzegovina's heritage, with sites such as the Roman villa rustica at Mogorjelo, an ancient agricultural center with fortified walls. Nearby Počitelj, a medieval Ottoman fortified town, features stone houses, a fortress, a mosque, and a madrasah, all declared national monuments.
