Please note: For the month of August 2025, the back yard and patio are not currently usable due to construction string line, and the driveway has story poles and string lines in place for a future construction project. The driveway is accessible for parking, however, and no actual construction is going to take place during guest stays. The hot tub will be usable.
This 1,109-square-foot, newly remodeled 1930âs era property is the epitome of cozy comfort for both human and canine guests. With 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms, the well thought out floor plan offers room to relax, restore and plan your adventures.
A Carmel Stone path and steps that lead to the front door provide an old-world welcome. A low fence separates the nicely landscaped front yard from the quiet street. Tucked behind the main house is a small cottage where the nicest neighbor lives full time. There are separate driveways, parking areas, entrances and yard spaces for each home.
Living Space
Gorgeous wood floors grace the living room, dining room and bedrooms. The pitched, beamed ceiling with skylight lends a sense of spaciousness and brightness to the living room. A roomy sectional sofa faces a gas fireplace with Carmel Stone surround and a 55â TV mounted above the mantel. Well-equipped for extended stays!
Kitchen and Dining
The living room flows seamlessly into the dining room thatâs appointed with a wood table and 6 chairs. Tile flooring in the kitchen and open wood cabinetry add charm. The kitchen is equipped with everything youâll need including a 4-burner gas stove, Sub Zero refrigerator/freezer, dishwasher, a coffee maker and other small appliances and plenty of counter space.
Bedrooms and Bathrooms
Bedroom #1 -Queen bed, dresser, 43â TV, en suite bathroom with shower and Saltillo-tile flooring. Just off the bedroom, is an open room that includes the closet, a washer and dryer and a door that leads to the backyard.

The hall bathroom has a tiled floor and shower.
The rear stone patio includes a gas grill and table and chairs, set next to a stone fireplace. The fenced yard features a small patch of artificial turf well-suited suited for a four-legged guest. A large hot tub sits on another stone patio with a large sun umbrella. (Our sweet neighbor uses the hot tub rarely but on occasion. They are very discreet and courteous.)
Itâs a short drive or walk to town along quiet streets. Stroll down Ocean Avenue to a sandy dog-friendly beach. Explore the village where youâll find wine tasting, gourmet grocers and delis, world-class restaurants, shops and galleries. A short drive takes you to The Crossroads, The Barnyard and Carmel Rancho shopping centers. Youâre not far from an entrance to Pebble BeachÂź, and its world-famous 17-Mile DriveÂź. Plan day trips to explore Carmel Valley, Big Sur, Pacific Grove and the Monterey Peninsula.
Driveway parking for 2-3 cars and on-street parking in front of the home is generally available.
Well-behaved small dogs are welcome with pre-approval, an additional pet fee and a signed pet addendum.
This home is a monthly rental and we request that all nights of your stay are within the same calendar month. Some exceptions may be possible, with the approval of our team and the homeowner. Extended stays are often possible.
Please note that on one side of the property a small guest cottage is rented to a full time tenant who has two canine companions. Each cottage has its own driveway, parking, entrance and laundry facilities.
