Our newly remodeled A-frame inspired home offers year-round comfort with air conditioning, heating, and a beautiful new thermostat-controlled fireplace—perfect for cozy evenings. After a day of adventure, unwind in the private outdoor hot tub, then soak up the abundant sunshine, an absolute premium here in the woods, while nestled in the towering pines of this idyllic and very walkable Carnelian Bay neighborhood. Stroll down to the beautiful beach at Lake Tahoe’s Waterman’s Landing (paddle board rentals available) or walk over to the famous Gar Wood’s restaurant for a meal or drink on the lake.

You will be inspired by the views and the sunshine streaming through 12 brand-new crystal-clear picture windows, creating a cathedral-like experience with 20-foot ceilings! Every aspect of the interior was thoughtfully redone with luxury and the spirit of Tahoe in mind. We did this for our family to enjoy—and now we welcome you to come experience it too.

You will love the newly renovated wrap around deck with the classic mountain inspired built-in bench seat. We wanted to preserve the charm of the original design while upgrading to an all redwood bench and railing. The cabin is set on over 1/3 of an acre to give you privacy and enjoyment of your vacation, while on a quiet street far enough away from the main roads to have a peaceful relaxing feeling and the cross street is so quiet it feels like a private road.

A special highlight of our retreat is the outdoor sauna—your own private wellness moment in the mountains. Use it to warm up after a day on the slopes, unwind tired muscles after a long hike, or simply enjoy a relaxing detox session beneath the pines. It’s a rejuvenating, year-round luxury that elevates the Tahoe experience and helps you settle fully into vacation mode.

We intentionally left out television sets from our cabin, to encourage family time, to play a game, share a meal, enjoy each other because this time is a gift. But you will have access to super fast parallel 400 mbps high speed internet, to keep you connected.

When you drive in or take a walk, the lake is right there! Located just 1/2 a mile walk or drive from the sparkling shores of Lake Tahoe. Our Peaceful Tahoe Retreat makes it easy to enjoy all the area has to offer. Spend mornings kayaking or paddleboarding on Carnelian Bay, As well, we are walking distance to mountain trails to spend afternoons hiking or biking the nearby. And spend evenings indulging in local dining or soaking in the serenity of your forested retreat. With convenient in-home laundry and private parking, your stay is as effortless as it is memorable.

We are centrally located in the best neighborhood on Lake Tahoe, we are just 8 minutes to Kings Beach, 15 minutes to North Star Ski Resort, 15 minutes to Tahoe city, 20 minutes to Incline Village, NV.

- Parking is available for 2 cars in the driveway.
- No street parking allowed.
- Violations result in fines of $1,000 and up, and revocation of the permit after three or more violations.

This is a smoke-free property. Violation of the no-smoking policy will result in forfeiture of the security deposit, a $300 smoking fee, and liability for any fire or property damage costs.

As part of our commitment to being good neighbors, occupancy limits and quiet hours (9pm-8am) are strictly enforced. No speakers or sound systems will be provided for use in our properties. Violation of any noise ordinances will be subject to fines that can reach up to $10,000 per violation.

Events or parties are not allowed without prior written approval and an additional fee. Any unauthorized parties or events will be shut down and a fine will be assessed. Please inquire for more information about our event policies and fees.

There is nothing more important to us at AvantStay than the health, safety, and experience of our guests & staff. We've enhanced our cleaning and sanitation protocols and are taking extra care to disinfect all surfaces between reservations with hospital-grade disinfecting solutions.

As a reminder, we do work with 3rd party vendors to maintain the property, and although we adhere to the strictest CDC guidelines and advise all contractors to wear PPE equipment, we can not always enforce. We strongly advise guests to please deny access if any vendors fail to meet and adhere to these standards.

IDs will be requested for verification after booking. All bookings over 30 days require a security deposit.
