Sehr freundlicher Empfang , sehr schönes Zimmer mit allem was man braucht . Das Personal ist sehr freundlich , wunderbares Frühstücksbuffet . Alles sehr sauber und gepflegt

sehr freundliches Personal, Englisch jedoch teilweise mangelhaft (v.a. an der Rezeption bessere Sprachkenntnisse erwartet), sehr sauber, Frühstück ok, Hotel ist etwas in die Jahre gekommen

Super Hotel mit sehr freundlichem Personal
Pros:Das Personal einfach unschlagbar. Ruhige Lage und doch Stadtnah
Location:Stadtnah und doch ruhige Lage, Reisebüro im Hotel
Das zweite Mal im Empress, einfach wunderbar. Das Personal war super freundlich und wir hatten wieder eine fantastische Zeit. Wieder wurden wir zum Diner eingeladen, Blumen auf dem Zimmer, tolle Küche und viele Geschenke.
Wir können das Empress nur weiterempfehlen werden wiederkommen.

Le service était impeccable nous avons eu un dîner offert par l'hôtel une table a été dressé spécialement pour cette soirée , un cadeau et un bouquet de fleur offert à chacune des femmes ou jeune fille .
Le maître d'hôtel parlant français nous a fait la surprise en nous offrant quelques chansons française chantées par un orchestre . Le personnel de service était au petit soin .
J' avais spécialement commande un gâteau pour réserver une surprise d anniversaire à une fille de notre groupe tout était parfaitement organisé
Je recommande sans retenu cet hôtel .

Central Good facilities
This is our 3rd visit to ChiangMai & always stayed at The Empress. It was special then with such welcoming staff at the reception & in the Cafe,& specially the helpful Manager; alas no more. They are all busy filling forms & just being practical with loads of tour groups arriving from China, Europe etc. Looks as if there has been management changes & the individual bookings do not seem to matter to them. So highly unlikely we will use this hotel again; since it's attitude now is like any other hotel. The usual goody bag at checkin was given to us but not for our son who booked through another website. Shame to do so when we checked in altogether.
Breakfast is good, rooms are clean & well provided in Executive & Deluxe rooms which we were upgraded to on the 15th & 14th floor. Luckily they did not put the noisy tour groups on the top levels & took note of our requests.
The usual menu was there in the Cafe, no change so we only ate dinner once in the hotel.
Easy to walk to the Night market. Taxi & Tour counters are there. Local Telephone call charges were exorbitant. Business centre is there too.

Best Hotel
Pros:Very good room, good breakfast and good location in the town
Cons:Nothing everything was great
Location:Easy for most of the best things to do in Thailand but as always own transport is always a plus
For the price we paid and the room we were given has to be the best hotel I have stayed in Thailand in 28 years
