I am a property Manager, and this property would not pass a Section 8 inspection. From the floating tiles in the bathroom floor to all the fogged windows in the house, the bathroom GFI reset button is gone. Window wall A/C units held in by plywood and spray foam. It also feels bizarre in a home with one bedroom locked on the mail floor and the entire downstairs blocked off, which makes me feel like someone could be living down there or something. Again, the mission was accomplished in finding a place to stay that felt more like a home to hang out in when we were visiting, but it just seemed that the amenities were not worth the money. On a positive note, when we contacted the host to let them know we didn't have any towels, they were delivered within 2 hours of our request.

The property was comfy and cozy, clean and had many nice touches like Alexa and diffusers in each room. Plenty of options for streaming and there were games and speakers for us to use also. Communication with the host was easy, pleasant and she was very accommodating. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay!

Glenesha, is a wonderful host! We were in for Navy graduation first time in Illinois even, the house is out of the way of alot of noise and traffic. Easy to get in and out of drive and streets, felt like just being on a different block in my town really. The place was as listed under some touchups and remodeling or what not, so of course our luck we had a bit of a hiccup but our Host was very attentive and graceful. I would highly recommend Glenesha and her property especially after renos are complete, shes been very busy and we cant wait to see the final result! We thank her for her grace and allowance of staying in her home for our families treasured memories! Keep up the work we love what you have done with the place!

Host was very accommodating! We came out from Massachusetts! For our daughters Navy Graduation from boot camp! We Drove straight out from Massachusetts to Great Lakes Illinois which was 15 hours! We contacted our host and asked if we could check in early! And we were able to which was extremely kind of our host! We had a wonderful weekend with our Sailor! Very close to everything! Looking for a place to stay for a Navy Graduation this is the place!!

North Chicago Home

Overall was okay. Very clean home. Keypad needs to be updated. Didn’t have access to some rooms. No washer and dryer available. House needs a few updates. Ice maker didn’t work. A/C didn’t work properly. Shower head broken. Fence gate needs replaced. It wouldn’t close or latch. Back porch not stable. Having to share a driveway was not the best. The neighbors parked on our driveway. We had to ask them to move. Closet doors were not in the tracks. Not a house I would rent again.

Bootcamp graduation stay

If you are looking for a place to stay for bootcamp graduation this is a great place. It’s minutes from the base. The pictures are accurate and the house had plenty of space for five people. Close to shopping, fast food, and casino.

There is a reason this property is so highly rated. First of all, from the time I reserved it, the owner was constantly in communication with me. Her directions were clear and she made herself available. When I arrived she was there making sure everything was in order. Her demeaner was kind and professional. The house is spacious and yes it is an older house, but the owner has done so many things to update it, we were very pleased. Finally, the cost was entirely reasonable. This was an all around wonderful experience and I wholeheartedly endorse this rental! Thank you for making my trip even more memorable!

The home is exactly as described
VERY comfortable beds and living room. Bed linens and towels are a great quality. Clean all around. I can tell great effort has been made to make our stay comfortable. Great location, as the home is just minutes away from the Great Lakes Navy Base where we attended Bootcamp Graduation for my daughter, as well as taking her back and forth from Base for her Liberty time. Close to shopping and dining.Only 35 minutes to O’Hare Airport, which was an easy commute. The owner, Nesha, was fantastic to work with!!! Please note that this is an older home, so a few squeaky doors and floors, which is normal. Also, a steep staircase as you enter the home, which can be difficult for some people. Overall, I highly recommend this home.

Lovely house

Check in instructions were easy. Nice neighborhood. Nice deck. Mostly fenced in back yard (fence has a few holes in it). House was very clean and spacious! The bathroom is kind of small so not much room for things in there. Only complaint were the beds. They were kinda hard. But we would stay again if we ever come back with the same amount of people!

I’ve stayed in 100-150 rentals over the past 15yrs this is in the top 3 worst. Walking up to house it’s clear that no one is maintaining the property weeds everywhere, dead plants, the screen door was falling apart and the locking device was a wire cord. Walking in there was a smell of mold and urine. There was burlap hanging off the stair fronts and on the light switches. I’m sure this was cute when it was first done, but now it’s literally falling apart/off and is something else to catch dirt. The whole unit was dingy and gave you the sense of it not being thoroughly cleaned in many years. It was nice to have multiple couch seating but again the couches were covered in a layer of grime. The kitchen drawers were mostly unfunctionable, they were broken on the bottom and were falling out. It advertised that there was AC, which was actually just 2 window units, one being in the smaller room and the other in the living room. The room with the queen bed was always 10° hotter than everywhere else. The back deck balcony was a scary site as well, and the grill was unusable and rusted all out. The bathroom floor looks as though someone pieced it together, along with the fact that there was no transition piece on the floor and that everyone kept stubbing their toe on. There was mold on the ceiling. The only positive was it was 8-10 minutes away from the Navy Boot Camp.
