THE PROPERTY:
Telegraph House is a fabulous four bed house sleeping ten, in a rural location in the South Downs near Chichester. Excellent facilities include a swimming pool, tennis court and hot tub. With amazing 360 degree views, this pet friendly home is suitable for extended families and responsible, discerning groups. This property is listed here by Inspire Stays, the premier independent holiday company in the South East. Visit for full info about this home, including accessibility, a video tour and a floor plan.
Through the grand entrance hall, the spacious drawing room offers large sofas, a log burner and a big screen Smart TV. Two open side rooms provide additional social spaces. One of these rooms also offers a corner sofa which converts into a comfortable small double bed. A full-length curtain can be drawn to screen it from the drawing room, making a private mini bedroom. Doors from the drawing room and hall lead into the large kitchen-dining room, well equipped with a full set of appliances and a big table for gatherings.
The ground floor houses three of the four king size double (W150cm) bedrooms, including a large master bedroom with en-suite shower room, plus a family bathroom with shower over bath and a separate WC. Upstairs, the first floor features another master bedroom with en-suite bathroom, and a window seat revealing fantastic long-range views.
Outside, from the kitchen door there is a large terrace with an outside dining area and huge chiminea style brick BBQ. Beyond the patio there are extensive gardens, and of course the glorious heated outdoor swimming pool and lawn tennis court. The pool is open and heated 1st June to 30th September. If you have any doubts as to the suitability of the house for your stay, please do contact us and we will be happy to advise.
- Due to the remote location, CCTV is used at the property to ensure the security and safety of all. During your stay there will be a camera facing the parking area, any other cameras will not be switched on in any internal or private areas of the house and grounds.
- A maximum of 8 adults are allowed, 10 guests in total including children. The sofa bed is suitable for 1 adult or 2 children, bedding is only provided for groups of more than 8 guests unless requested at least 2 weeks in advance.
- Kitchen facilities: 1.5 range cooker with oven, grill and 5 ring gas hob, tall fridge-freezer, dishwasher, washing machine, tumble dryer, kettle, toaster, microwave, Nespresso coffee machine.
- Iron, ironing board, clothes airer provided. Hairdryers are NOT provided.
- The swimming pool and tennis court area is fully enclosed with a low fence/hedges, but there are two latch gates which could be opened by small inquisitive hands. The garden is bordered with post-and-rail fences and hedges, but it is not securely enclosed to contain children and dogs.
- The swimming pool is open to guests and heated from 1st June to 30th September. Target temperature: 24-26C (min. 23C) approx. Please replace the pool cover after every use (this is not a safety cover and does not support the weight of people or animals). Please always supervise children and dogs when they are outside.
- The outbuildings and the small area of land behind them are unoccupied and are not accessible to guests. The private, expansive grounds to the south and west are all yours to explore and enjoy during your holiday.
- The house is a rural property accessed by a 750m drive on a gravel track, please be aware of potholes in the road and that it may not be suitable for very low/sports cars.
- Free private parking on the driveway next to the house, with space for 6 cars.
- One infant up to age 2 is welcome in addition to the total guest capacity of this property. 1 travel cot (please bring bedding) and 1 highchair are available on advance request.
