Fox Kit Cabin

Adorable cute cabin on the western shore of Lake Whitney in Laguna Park. Located in a peaceful neighborhood a short 5-min walk to the lake, our cabin is perfect for solo travelers or couples. This tiny home is meant for you to take a breather and reconnect.

The space

The Fox Kit Cabin is a 1br/1ba tiny home in approximately 400 sq/ft. A quiet solitude for a solo traveler or a cozy nest for a couple the cabin is very much like an extended stay hotel room in a free standing house. There is a covered porch at the entry where you can wake to fresh air and coffee. Inside the living area, dining area, and kitchenette are all one super functional space where you can relax in one of the comfy chairs and watch tv or nibble breakfast at the vintage cafe table. You won't be cooking three-course meals but the kitchenette has a small fridge/freezer, sink, microwave, coffee maker, and kitchen ware.

Down the shotgun hallway is the bedroom with a luxurious hybrid queen bed and plenty of space to store your clothes for the weekend or a week.

The best part is the bathroom! We built a walk-in tiled shower that we're jealous of! Pop the hotel quality towels in the dryer to toast them up...this tiny home has a full sized washer and dryer. Perfect for those summer swim adventure trips at the lake!

We've built and outfitted this cabin with friends and family in mind so we hope you feel that way. We use high quality linens and everything is washed after each guest. Please read the "Where You'll Be" section here, there's alot to do in our neighborhood!

Guest access

You're welcome to the entire cabin. A max of two vehicles are allowed (a trailer is a vehicle). If you need space to park more please send us a message. We can probably accommodate you. The Kit Cabin is on the same property as our other rental, the Blue Fox Cottage. Guests in the cottage have access to the yard. Please respect their privacy (we ask them to respect yours too!).

The cabin is heated and cooled by two 9000btu mini split ac/heat pumps. They are super quiet and even though there are two, one is sufficient for the entire cabin. Mini-splits are very efficient keeping a steady temp so please set them where you would like. We have two smart plugs to turn on lights if you are arriving after dark. You're welcome to unplug these during your stay if you like.

We do not allow EV charging or crypto mining.

Other things to note

We want this to be a place you make memories at and we take pride in our cleaning! Our goal is that our guests are always comfortable and can relax and enjoy the space.
