The Mountain Laurel Overlook - A Charming Home in Litchfield County, CT

Tucked away on 2.5 wooded acres, this charming CT country home sits on a hill with abundant natural light. The spacious back patio overlooks a beautiful tree-lined yard teeming with wildlife. Private, peaceful, and full of rustic character, it offers a unique escape from the everyday.

Guests will be 15-30 minutes away from all of Litchfield County's best including highly-rated restaurants, Lake Waramaug, the CT Wine Trail, unique local shopping, hiking on the Appalachian Trail, & more!

The Mountain Laurel Overlook is a split-level ranch home surrounded by nature. The home itself has a kitchen, main living area, dining room, 2 bedrooms - 1 queen and 1 king - and 1 bathroom upstairs. The main living area has an AppleTV and a bluetooth soundbar. The wooded back patio space awaits on this level with access to a Big Green Egg (please let us know ahead of time if you want to use the Big Green Egg and we will make it available to you) and Weber grill as well as seating for 6. A sand table and water mat are available for entertaining the kids. We do have lots of wildlife around the property including black bears and bobcats. Please be mindful of your surroundings at all times and do NOT feed any wildlife!

You will enter the house through the mudroom downstairs complete with a workout/yoga space. Downstairs, guests will also find a second living area/play room for kids, a large queen guest room with a desk, a laundry room, as well as another full bathroom.

Please note that both bedrooms upstairs have AC units, but downstairs does not; however, it typically stays cool enough even in the summer and a standing fan is provided.

You have access to the entire house other than a few locked closets. You have full access to our yard with a fire pit and back patio. The garage and upstairs garage loft space are locked.
