VILLA YAK ALIL: A BEACHSIDE HAVEN FOR FAMILY GET-TOGETHERS

With a private pool, volleyball area, and three stories of beautifully-decorated rooms, this awesome villa right on a secluded beach makes the perfect setting for a group holiday.

The villa can house up to 16 guests. Enjoy hanging out together in the second floor lounge, white sand beach, or spacious pool deck. Then for some down time, the five comfortable bedrooms (including two suites) offer great spaces to relax and enjoy the ocean breeze.

On the first floor, spread out in a large living room with sea views; a roomy, fully-equipped kitchen; and a screened-in patio facing the beach; plus a half bathroom.

Two bedrooms share this level, and their own full bath. A peaceful earth-toned room has a king-sized bed, a sitting area with a couch and cushioned chairs, and a view of both the jungle and the beach. The other first-floor room is cozy, with a queen-sized bed and mangrove view, making it a little more private.

On the second floor: two extra-roomy suites with stunning ocean views, great for families with children. The sunrise-colored suite has a king and a queen bed, plus an alcove with two twin beds, and a giant-sized private bathroom with a ceiling-to-floor sea view. The second suite's classic tropical decor lends it charm, while the two queen beds, sitting area, alcove with a double bed, and huge private bathroom, offer plenty of living space.

Between the two suites, the second floor lounge with two futons looks out onto the ocean--making a great place for family or old friends to catch up.

On the third floor, the master bedroom features a huge balcony overlooking the beach and pool. Enjoy a comfortable king-sized bed, sitting area, private bathroom, and plenty of ocean air.



Outside, you'll find lots to do: the house is right in front of Tunich Reef, part of the world's second-largest reef system.

You can snorkel and swim on the beach, head out in one of the villa's two kayaks, or play volleyball on the private court. Or, relax under the palapas poolside. Villa Yak Alil's pool is beautifully decorated with an ocean-themed mosaic.

At day's end, enjoy views of the colorful Caribbean sunsets. A barbecue and outdoor seating area make for great evening meals.

Divers will enjoy the proximity to some of the area's best dive sites, and an outdoor shower and dive room to rinse and store gear.
