A 3 BR, 1BA, 3 level recently renovated cabin in Black Bear Resort. Easy access to ski resorts and Davis. Pretty outlook over a stream and down a small valley through trees. Room for 7, including large dining area.

Black Bear Resort is a beautiful four season resort in the Canaan Valley with fantastic views across the valley to Cabin Mountain Range, Bald Knob, Weiss Knob, Dolly Sods, Timberline Mountain, White Grass and Canaan Valley State Park. walking trail, tennis, mini-golf, volleyball, tot lot.

AWD recommended in winter. No public transportation. Many great hikes and mountain bike trails.

Great little cabin near Canaan and Timberline Mountains. Family of 4 stayed for two nights. Kitchen had everything we needed for basic food prep. Fire was amazing after a day on the slopes. Communication with host was solid and directions were really good.

The best thing about my stay was the quiet. I was really in need of peace and a slowdown from everyday life. This cabin made me happy where it was located because i drove a car up amd it wasnt so far down on the gravel trail..At sunset i took walks on the trail right up the road and sat in the gazebo amd watched the sun cover the mts..The host communicated with me 1st day and throughout my time there maling sure everything was ok. The cabin was welcoming amd clean.

Cabin was very cute! Clean, comfortable and very well equipped- beautiful views of the changing fall leaves/ but I imagine the wooded views are great year round! Host was attentive/responsive- would absolutely stay there again and recommend to others looking for a Canaan Valley getaway. Convenient location between Davis and ski resorts- easy access to both places. We enjoyed hiking and time with family!

Nice clean place. Large bathroom. But bedroom was small. Kitchen had all the things we needed. Needs some maintenance. Gate on deck broken and deck needs repainted. Chair in living room broken. Noisy as there was construction going on next door. But over all, it was a good stay.

Loved it all around 5 star. The people/management are super friendly. It has the master room on main level and the kids area is up the spiral stairs. It’s not big but it’s extremely cozy. I really liked it. Very nice bathroom and they have a washer and dryer you can use as well.

Cozy cabin in a great location

My family of four stayed here for four nights and it was perfect for us. Just enough space to feel cozy but also for each of us to have our own space when we needed it. It had just about everything we needed. Very clean and nicely maintained. The only things that kept me from rating it at 10 was because the water pressure in the shower was quite low, but thankfully the temp was great, and we found out the hard way that if you run the dishwasher and washing machine, no water comes out of the sink faucets. At least we assume that was the reason because there were no problems with the water otherwise. It would have also been nice to have a couple more kitchen towels. Only one was provided but I probably could have requested another and would have received it. Communications with the owner were great. Very responsive. The property was nice too. Very quiet! They have a small mini golf and my boys enjoyed shooting hoops on the basketball court. I already recommended the cabin to a friend and I would not hesitate to stay here if we’re ever in the area again.

Dream Snow-cation

Having moved from CO to NC 5 years ago we were jonesing for a holiday season, cabin in a winter wonderland experience and this did not disappoint! The cabin was warm and cozy! We enjoyed playing in the snow, a blazing fire, home cooked food and family games. The only issue was that we didn't book the cabin for more nights! Thank you

Wonderful ski cabin

My family and I had a wonderful stay at this cabin. Location was absolutely wonderful and listing was as pictured on website. Check in process was super as well. My only advice to make this cabin a bit more comfortable would be the kitchen cookware and lighting. The cookware was minimal and what was availability was very worn. Not a deal breaker by any means but would definitely recommend taking a skillet or two. The kitchen was also very dark. The lights above the sink and counter did not appear to be in working order. The cabin could also use some dusting. Again, not deal breakers at all! We had a fabulous time and will definitely be back! Very comfortable stay!

Quick trip

Stayed for two nights to go mountain biking mid week. Not many people around. House was very comfy for two adults and a teenage son. Bathroom and kitchen appear all newly redone.

Cozy Cabin

We loved staying at this cozy little cabin. It had everything we needed, was in a great location, and was surrounded by wonderful grounds. We especially enjoyed having a fireplace to use for the evenings. We are a family of 7, so the only thing I would say is that it is definitely a tight space. It is best suited for 4-5 people. The entrance area is a little tight, so in the winter it might be a little crowded with winter gear, but other than that we enjoyed it. Overall it was clean, but I would say it could use a bit of a deep clean for the hard-to-reach areas. We would definitely stay here again.
