Upon entering the unit you are greeted with a dark, dank basement with the smell of pet urine. A barking dog upstairs will also greet you as you arrive at the property. Lots of lights but the unit seemed dark. While the unit was reasonably clean there were splatters of who knows what on the bathroom wall and ceiling of the kitchen. The host advertises apartment style living and that you might hear the people above on occasion. I’ve been in plenty of apartments/shared housing and nothing like this. It’s almost like the sound is amplified from above to the lower unit. Kid(s) were up before 7am shooting marbles, jumping rope (so it sounded) so if you want to relax or sleep in it’s not going to happen. I don’t think my wife slept at all. LOUD all night and uncomfortable bed.We paid for 2 nights but couldn’t get out of there fast enough. Between the smell the noise and the unit just not feeling like somewhere we wanted to hang out we moved to a hotel for our second night. The hotel room was cheaper, cleaner and much quieter. Probably the first vacation rental that I’ve stayed at that I would truly say that I wouldn’t book again.
