Relaxing Vacation Destination

Perfect Week! Jan T and the house were both great. House has everything you could want. Great kitchen with all the amenities. Rooms and beds were all comfy. Pool was great for just relaxing and reading. Kids went to the beach everyday. Quick golf cart ride to drop them off and not a bad walk if necessary. Neighborhood is quiet and community center was great. Close drive to lots of restaurants and shopping (including grocery store). A all around.

Destin - Responsive host - Nice area/community for families

We had a really nice stay in Destin and at this home. The home is in a gated community that was well kept and safe. The community pool and basketball court were used many times by our kids! The beach was close along with options to so many things when it rained one day. Lots of choices for groceries and food. Everything was good! The only downside was the Internet was only in the living room and there were several times it went down. They are only allowed to give out 8 bands to get into the community pool/basketball which is tough when the house sleeps more than that. We did some repairs on the bikes to get almost all of them in good working condition for the kids to use. The neighbor of this home was very nice and friendly too. We thought the parking rules may be an issue since we drove from Michigan in three large vehicles, however, it all worked out just fine. Really nice area and home. We would recommend! The host Jan was great at responding to all of our questions and needs!

What memories are made of!

Never want to leave

The House was just as I expected. Pictures and description are right on the money. We had our entire family at the house nine folks ranging from infant to 70 years old. Private pool was Awesome. My four year old nephew could wake up and swim before breakfast. The property is private and gated with a beautiful large pool at the clubhouse with tennis/pickle ball courts. The golf cart was a bonus ride around neighborhood and take to the beach. One of the best family vacations ever for us and highly recommend to anyone.

Destiny East -Destin

The property manager was very responsive to any questions/texts and is super nice. The house is not exactly what we thought as some pics make the pool/lanai area look larger/nicer. The pool waterfall stopped working and their pool guy came and he didn’t fix it (the owners were informed and said it would be fixed but wasn’t) so the kids were bummed it was inoperable for the last few days of our trip. The house itself is nice but, was not very clean at all and we had a couple of encounters with cockroaches inside the home. Floors and bathrooms were also not very clean. We had to clean floors and bathrooms before we could bring our items inside, not what we expected for the cost. Note:you’re asked to wash beach towels used but there is not any laundry detergent. We had to go buy laundry detergent, dishwasher pods, garbage bags, and of course toilet paper and paper towels (which we expected to buy paper products) to get through the week. It is a good location, beautiful club house with a decent gym and a beautiful club house pool/outdoor area.

We had a great experience, me and the family had no complaints, we received excellent communication from the Property manager and had a great stay/trip overall. The location of the property is great, you’re pretty much centered in Destin and have easy access to anywhere you need to go. The house is very large, plenty of space for the whole family.

Destin Retreat

The saltwater pool did not disappoint! We all loved hanging out there. We opted to heat it for an additional cost (May visit). The hot tub was hot too. It was so nice to have our privacy. The clubhouse is close, but we preferred the private pool. I was glad to have a big basket of beach towels for our family of 7. We went to Crab Island for an excursion and needed them. The master suite is very nice. The rest of the house provided plenty of space for us. We rented the use of the golf cart. We used it for a few beach runs and dinner at Pompano Joe’s. We rented the bikes. Those were pricey compared to the golf cart. We used them a few times and it was a nice way to get exercise. Jan was communicative and helpful when needed, and prior to our trip she called to give us helpful tips and answer any questions. The Destiny East is a very nice area, safe & quiet. Tips to future guests: bring garbage bags, toilet paper, paper towels, detergent, and maybe cooking spray if you intend to use skillet. We drove and brought a couple of pillows which we were glad to have.

Ocean Retreat Villa Creates Vacation Haven

Ocean Retreat Villa was the perfect location for our family’s beach vacation. The lovely home provided space and a relaxation vibe for our days in Destin. There was plenty of space for our group of 7 grandchildren and 3 adult couples: 2 comfortable living areas, 4 well-appointed bedrooms and great seating options for meals. The kitchen was well-stocked with utensils, cooking pans, and place settings for meals. There is mealtime seating in the dining room, at a high-top table and a large eat-at island in the kitchen. The screened in lanai is oversized and furnished with comfortable options for the group members to gather. The pool and hot tub area was a daytime and evening delight for all! Club Destiny’s pool and gym were also enjoyed. Our host, Jan T., provided great communication throughout the VRBO renting experience making for an awesome time.
