Located directly on the beach, guests have amazing unobstructed views of the Gulf of Mexico in a quiet and serene community you'll be eager to call 'home' during your trip. If you haven't been to Holiday Isle, you are in for a treat. A peninsula surrounded by The Gulf of Mexico and Destin Harbor, it is a serene, little oasis within the heart of Destin with two and a half miles of paved trails for walking and biking. This ideal location is just minutes away from restaurants, shopping, boat docks, fishing, golf, and amusements.

Dolphin Cove greets guests with coastal comfort. Three floors of this townhouse allow for plenty of space for you and your guests. Sleeping 10, this home has three bedrooms and three baths. The first floor welcomes you with a king suite. Complete with private patio access and views of the Gulf, an ensuite bathroom, and a large flatscreen TV. This suite is perfect for those who prefer to not use stairs and seek access right onto the sugar sands of the Emerald Coast.

Guests can seek dining and entertainment on the second floor. Entering the second floor you are comforted by the traditional coastal appeal. A comfortable living room with a large flat-screen TV, sleeper sofa, and a balcony that overlooks the Gulf welcome you. This townhouse is complete with a fully equipped kitchen and stainless steel appliances. In addition, this space is furnished with a dining table that seats six and allows for plenty of dining space.

The other two bedrooms are located on the third floor. The master bedroom has private balcony access and unparalleled views of the gulf. Also, an ensuite bathroom with a spa-style tub, dual glass sinks, and a walk-in closet are found in this suite. The final bedroom is furnished with a set of twin bunks, a twin/twin trundle daybed, and a private bathroom.

Dolphin Cove is the perfect home to make family memories. An easy walk along the beach will take you to the jetties, where the Gulf of Mexico and Destin Harbor meet. Overall, the house is nice and clean. However, while we were expecting a little bit of a walk down the path to the beach, it wasn’t mentioned that you have to walk even further down the beach to get a spot. The spot at the end of the path is private and we were asked to move on down the beach after getting all set up. We texted the property contact and they said this was “odd” to be asked to move. So I’m not sure where the miscommunication lies. This long walk to the “public access” beach made it almost unbearable for my mother in law and two toddlers. Not to mention, a pontoon brings loads of people back and forth to this “private” beach area - it was quite crowded. With that said, the house is good, but we wouldn’t stay again due to the beach inconveniences.

Poor beach area availability

There is one bedroom on the bottom floor and the other 2 bedrooms are on the top floor with all the living space on the second floor. There is a random board that sticks out further than the wall (it’s attached to said wall, has hooks at one end for shirts/towels/coats/whatever) on the second floor stairs leading to the 3rd floor that you will hit your face on if you’re not paying attention. A BIG downfall to this property - there is only about a foot of space off the patio before you have a chain link fence in your face (see pic as this is not shown in the property pics)! the beach area shown with a few umbrellas in the photos was completely occupied by blue chairs/tents that were set up specifically for the guests of the LARGE hotel/condo complex just down the street (can be very easily seen off to the right from the property balconies). They took up about 3/4 of the jetty beach area and made sure to run you off if you were not a guest of their hotel, even with the 5 Star Properties chairs/umbrellas provided. So the houses/rentals in the area had about 1/4 of beach line. But let’s not forget the MASSIVE THREE dolphin sightseeing boats that anchored there and took up that space!! This needs to be disclosed and known by other renters as you’ll have to travel if you want to enjoy the beach! (No public beach access anywhere b/c everything else around is gated.) The property management co was responsive to issues we found and fixed what they could while we occupied it.

Good getaway

Fairly close to water, you will get your daily steps in for sure. Beautiful location. Very tight in the back due to a fence a couple feet from property, can't get a beach buggy out. Overall we still give it a 5 star. Beds were comfortable and bathrooms clean.

Spring break with younger children.

Thank you so much for allowing us to stay in your beautiful townhouse! Great location! Great view! Great access to the beach! Roomie space enough for six spread up. I would stay here again in a heartbeat. There are beach, chairs and umbrellas for visitors. Beautiful sunsets. And a new park being built at the end of the road.A few things to mention, that was not in the description of property,, quite a bit of hike to the beach. Beach in front of house is. Privately own and not. Usable for guest of this property. Thus, making it even longer hike for small children. Lots of boat activity in the cove by the jetties. Plus there’s a fence directly behind the property leading a foot path approximately 2 foot wide that is accessed by many of the neighbors. No true privacy for the bedroom downstairs.. this area is very prickly with overgrown plants. I would ask the property managers to perhaps put some pavers along the path.I would also offer the suggestion of more kid, friendly amenities, such as plastic cups and plates, beach, toys, games, etc.Again, thank you so much for allowing us Visit your beautiful home

The inside of the property was great but the surroundings were not. The outside beachfront was not taken care of and there was a chain link fence that was not shown in the pictures. Lots of trash and weeds. The view was great and all in all we had a wonderful month.

Nice condo but a few issues

We have been coming to Destin for over 25 years as we enjoy the beaches so much. This condo was pretty good overall, but there were some issues. We discovered that the kitchen sink faucet had a rubber band around the neck of the faucet to the water selector handle. When removed, the water ran continuously. We also discovered that the dishwasher would not wash the dishes. The heating element worked, water was dispensed and drained, and the dishwasher soap door opened as it should, but the wands did not turn and the dishes were not washed. We contacted the office and a technician came out and said that the faucet should be replaced and that a vendor would have to be contacted to see if one could come out on a holiday week to repair/replace the dishwasher. Unfortunately, the dishwasher could not be repaired and we were able to get by with the rubber band fix on the kitchen faucet. One repairmen did come to the condo to repair the shower door in one of the showers without calling first as we had requested. Luckily we were not far away and returned and the shower issue was rectified. A different repairman showed up without calling again to address the faucet issue, and again we were not home and would not return until late in the afternoon. The repairman told us he could not wait that long. Additionally we were not aware that there was a temporary 6 ft. chain link fence 3 feet from the back patio, presumably to protect a dune area scheduled to be developed.

Nice getaway!

Overall, our stay was good. The unit could have been cleaner. I understand because I took dogs, dog hair is hard to manage however, there were clumps of dog hair (not from mine) everywhere. The main floor furniture was very dirty, and worn. The upstairs sink was clogged. Other things were not so perfectly cleaned but I dealt with it. If you take dogs, and they are boujee like mine there is no grass nearby so the 4 am bathroom breaks require a long walk to the street.to find grass. The view was amazing, the space was great. Way too much for my husband, myself and pups. Very quiet area. Uber service was utilized with no problem to this location. It should be stated in the details that parking, if you have a large vehicle may be difficult. Ours did not fit in the garage and took up the entire driveway extending to the road. Love the extra ice machine. Baby/dog gates need replaced outside they are not reliable or safe.

Great week!

It’s always a worry that “pet friendly” will smell bad and this rental did not smell bad. They also provided 3 beach chairs and umbrellas for our use. 5 min walk to the beach. The beach area was awesome with low waves so it was great for floating. Had everything we needed in the kitchen. Drip coffee pot but no Keurig which was fine for us. Beds were super comfortable!! Showers had great water pressure! We had a great stay!

Great house!

Would recommend putting some type of visual warning for the step on the top balcony. It’s painted to where it blends in and one of my kids and myself both fell down it, missing the step because we didn’t see it. Wonderfully updated. Fully stocked with appliances and accessories. I loved the amount of towels and extra sheets provided and they were wrapped to keep them clean. Lots of space for larger family. The umbrella set up in front of the house are not available to rent (hotel only) so you have to walk farther down to the left to get a beach spot. If you don’t mind a small work out, it’s a quieter location. Lots of boat drop off/pick up throughout the day, but relatively quiet. Would definitely come back!

Beautiful spacious property that came with everything we need to enjoy our stay. Property is three levels...king room on 1st level, main area on the 2nd level and 2 king rooms on the 3rd level. A rough walk to Walmart cove.

The property was as described, clean, well stocked. Extremely friendly property management company, probably the best I’ve ever booked with really. The property location, is not ideal. The cove is a hike to get to, and the reward for your arrival is not there. I named it Walmart cove for a reason. There’s a constant flow of boats from Emerald Isle dropping off guests, as well as multiple commercial snorkel boats. The only waves you get here come from passing boats. The sand feels weird, you don’t get much of a breeze. Our group decided we needed the actual ocean, so made the 1/4 mile trek to see the real waves instead. It’s not a bad place, but we won’t be staying here again.
