The Space:

This renovated, fully furnished lake home is just steps from the shore of Lake Melissa. Bright & airy, welcoming & comfortable it includes everything you need for a fabulous getaway this summer! Level lake lot (no stairs), private dock, lake toys, lakeside patio, gas grill, gas fire pit, paddle boat, kayak, WIFI, 46" Smart TV, SONOS sound system and lots and lots of games and books. The home also includes washer, dryer, microwave and dishwasher.

THE SPACE:

The home's open floor plan showcases natural light and 180º lake views! With the new remodel the kitchen features all stainless appliances - the bathroom, a clawfoot bathtub - and the sunroom, a bar and cozy lounging area.



The home sleeps 8 (6 adults & 2 kids comfortably but note rates are for 6) as it includes one bedroom with a king bed, one bedroom with a queen bed and one bedroom with bunk beds - a twin bed over full bed over pull out trundle bed.



THE NEIGHBORHOOD:

We are located on the South East side of Lake Melissa so receive generous sunshine and gorgeous sunset views! Lake Melissa is 1850 acres of crystal clear waters with great fishing - specializing in walleye, northern, and panfish - and is perfect for both motorized watercraft (boats & jet skis) as well as non-motorized (paddleboards, kayaks & paddle boats). We are on a beach road yet just off of a county road making for a quiet area that is still quite easily accessible. While the area and lake are exciting and fun, the lake house property and neighbors are quiet and peaceful. It's the best of both worlds!



The lake home is located in the vibrant Detroit Lakes area; which features boutique shopping and upscale or casual dining & bars. Like the outdoors? Tamarac National Wildlife Refuge, both Itasca & Maplewood State Parks and Dunton Locks County Park are within a short drive. WeFest, Pine To Palm, Seven Sisters and Hotel Shoreham Bistro, Bar & Pizzeria are just down the road.

Most of our appliances are energy efficient and/or energy star certified.

We feature a dual flush toilet

During the renovation we used a number of non toxic products including low or no-VOC paint and nontoxic sealants on our floors and other wood.

Our cleaning products for our home and laundry are eco-friendly as are the products our cleaning service uses.

We practice Reduce Reuse Recycle.
