Hill Country Lodge * Great for Groups & Multi Family Gatherings

The Doss 4S Ranch is located on 120 acres in the Texas Hill Country in the community of Doss, approx 30 miles NNW of the popular Hill Country town of Fredericksburg. 120 acres of undisturbed natural terrain, with large Hill Country views, amazing sunsets, mesmerizing stargazing, and an unparalleled feeling of being in a place that is all your own.
The Lodge consists of 3 buildings located in a fenced in area: Ice House, Cottage and Lodge.
The Ice House is the main living and kitchen area that serves the lodge and guests. One large open concept building with plenty of dining and seating area to enjoy meals together, play games, watch TV, or hang out and chat. There is an 85" HD SmartTV with YouTube TV offered, or sign into your own streaming accounts to catch up on your shows. A full kitchen w/ electric cooktop, oven, microwave, dishwasher and refrigerator. Large island for meal prep and serving. Coffee Bar with a drip coffee maker and Keurig offered. We provide several flavors of K cups for the Keurig as well as coffee for the drip coffee maker, creamer and sugar. High ceilings w/ ceiling fans, lots of windows for natural light and a mini split HVAC system.
The Cottage is a one room lodging for 2 people that offers a king bed, full kitchen (elec cooktop, oven refrigerator, microwave), and bathroom with stand alone shower. And sitting area. Great for the couple or guest that wants their own privacy. Window a/c-heat unit for your own comfort.
The Lodge has a long screened in porch to relax and enjoy the moment, all 4 bedrooms are accessed via the screened in porch. The bedrooms and bathrooms are set up where two bedrooms share a en suite bathroom between them. Each bedroom has control of their own window a/c-heat unit. Each of the large bedrooms has a walk in closet as well. The bedding is as follows.
Bedroom 1: King, Twin
Bedroom 2: King, Twin
Bedroom 3: King, Twin Bunks
Bedroom 4: King

Outdoor sitting area to sit around and stargaze. Relax on the hammock under the stars and count how many shooting stars you can spot. Gas grill also provided.

We are in a "light free" area. No street lights or light pollution from any nearby town/city. All exterior lights are either controlled by an interior switch or motion activated to help provide the best celestial viewing.

Numerous wildlife located on the property.

Wifi is included but we can not guarantee the efficiency of service due to our rural location and all buildings having a metal roof.

We can arrange for other activities on our property with prior notice: Yoga, Hunting (deer, hog, turkey), skeet shooting, target practice, etc. Wish to host a yoga retreat? We can help as one of our team members is a yoga instructor and a certified wine sommelier.
We can also help with a list of shuttles that can arrange a day of visiting the local wineries and distilleries in the area.

There are exterior security cameras and game cameras on the property.
