Spectacular Lake Michigan Views/Beach Access from Douglas Lakeshore Beach House

Newly remodeled Douglas Michigan Lakeshore family beach retreat situated roughly 2.5 miles from downtown Saugatuck. The views are breathtaking from multiple decks overlooking Lake Michigan. There are many bike and/or walking trails near the cottage with more than 3 miles of beach to walk from the cottage's private beach.

The cottage provides endless shoreline and panoramic views from almost every room and has sleeping arrangements for 10 people. Accommodations include:

-Upper master bedroom with king bed and in-suite bathroom, stand-up shower and bathtub.
-Upper bedroom with queen bed
-Lower bedroom with queen bed and private bathroom(not connected) (stand up shower)
-Upper bedroom with twin bunk bed and two single beds

The cottage has two living room areas, one upper and one lower, both with walkout access to expansive decks with Adirondack chairs.

Cottage access and parking available for up to 4 cars, both at street level. Your family lake shore experience awaits!

We had an absolutely LOVELY stay at Robert's place. The house was immaculate and beautiful; the fireplace was warm and cozy; the pillows and beds were so comfy! (So comfy in fact that I am putting the pillows on my wedding registry! lol!) The hot tub was amazing, and we refused to get out, even in a snowstorm! Kelly was very hospitable and really nice to chat with. Thank you so much for an incredible stay! We can't wait to come back with the rest of our family! We truly have nothing but good things to say about this house. It was perfect for our family vacay! We had plans to get out and explore the area more, but the house was so wonderful, why would we leave?! It was very clean and well stocked. And all of the decks were incredible. The best sunset views!! We would very happily stay here again and highly recommend!

Relaxing Getaway

Everything was perfect! The house was spotless and very comfortable and the location couldn’t be better. We loved the direct access to the beach, perfect for long walks in either direction. Sunsets from the hot tub were my favorite! The hosts were very responsive and easy to work with. House was well taken care of and decorated for fun. Don’t hesitate, book now before someone else does!

Second time was as great as the first!

This was our second time staying at the Pink House for a winter get-away. The house has all the amenities (and then some); the views are phenomenal; and the location can't be beat. We had fun days exploring the beach, Saugatuck and Holland. We had fun nights playing games by the fire. Will definitely try to stay here again!

Amazing stay!

Douglas Beach / Saugatuck Family Vacation

Our family of eight (6 adults and 2 young children) had a fun vacation at this property on Douglas Beach. The house is bright, roomy, comfortable and well appointed. The location provided easy access to the beach and other fun activities like the biking, boating, and visiting Saugatuck. Wish there were a crib and high hair for our 2 year old. We hope to return.

Perfection!!

This house is a great example of what makes VRBO wonderful!! No detail was missed. Bob was super-friendly and quick to respond to a few questions we had. The private beach was amazing and the house offered incredible views from pretty much every room. The kitchen was perfectly-stocked for family dinners. A small detail but the linens were soooo nice (love that!!). My family had a lovely stay and hope to return!!

Gorgeous sunsets from this stairway to heaven!

Everything about our stay went according to plan, from coordinated arrival to departure. The weather was lovely with mostly sunny days and warm water for swimming in Lake Michigan. Even the two brief rain storms were amazing for our California kids who never get to see lightning and never have enough rain. As grandparents to the clan, we appreciated our lower level retreat with closer access to the beach and the fabulous hot tub. Advice to future visitors, including us for next year, bring water shoes for the stones and boulders unseen off shore. We learned how to navigate out to the sandbar, and our feet toughened up. We were undaunted by the 96 steps, but this could be a challenge for some. Breaking up the stair runs gave you a chance to catch your breath and notice the ever-beautiful view. We all loved this cottage so much, that we reserved it for one week again next year!

Family Memories

This was our 3rd summer at The Pink House on Lake Michigan. We all, including our children and grandchildren look forward to the week at this beautiful home and private beach. We couldn’t ask for a better host who is so quick to respond to any questions. We feel so fortunate that he shares his beautiful home with us. Each year he has added to the resort like feel with so many beautiful amenities. This year the covered deck and the beautiful hot tub enhanced the already spectacular views. We will be back as Bob has truly made it an amazing place to make cherished memories with our family. We can’t thank him enough.

Incredible!

We stayed here with another family - four adults and four kids, ages 6-11. It was absolutely perfect! The house is gorgeous and the layout worked perfectly for two families - we had one couple in the main bedroom, one in the lower level bedroom, the three youngest kids in the bunk room, and the oldest girl in the last bedroom. The beach access was ideal and we loved the lake view hot tub on the cool evenings. Sunsets over the lake were picture perfect. It was a truly perfect getaway - thank you so much!

Lovely Home right on Lake Michigan

This home is beautifully decorated, very well stocked with high end amenities, and has many lovely features: Large deck and table, hot tub level, deck near water. Walking on the beach is fabulous. The kitchen is perhaps better stocked than mine! Plastic for outdoors and lovely dishes, glasses etc for indoors. Truly a lovely getaway celebrating with friends!

Stayed May 10-12 with group of friends. The house is in great location with perfect set up for our group. Loved the hot tub and the beach. We missed the Holland tulips by one week due to weather but got the Northern Lights and that was amazing. Will definitely visit again!

Fantastic Property

We stayed at this house for a winter getaway. It did not disappoint! The views are incredible, and in the 2nd floor primary room, we fell asleep and woke up to the sounds of the waves. The house has 3 full floors in which to spread out, with 4 bedrooms and lots of beds. The kitchen was well stocked, so cooking was easy. The area is picturesque; we walked the beach, around the neighborhood, and even to the nearby Woosah Outside Coffee store. We will definitely try to stay here again!!

A fantastic family get-away
