This retreat offers breathtaking views and peaceful mornings from its ridgeline position, overlooking the Clarence River Valley and the Border Ranges of NSW and QLD, all from our tiny holiday homes.



Enjoy stunning views in the mornings and evenings, surrounded by lots of birds and birdsongs, with binoculars available for birdwatching. Koalas are also often heard and sometimes seen.

The View: Floor-to-ceiling glass captures panoramic, multi-state vistas that change with the hour. Watch the fog roll in below you like a slow-motion ocean, or thunderstorms and lightning, or the rise of the sun or full moon.



The Wildlife: Your neighbors are not noisy crowds, but silent, magnificent creatures. Wake up to eagles soaring on the thermal currents, and wild birdsongs, spot wallabies grazing at dusk, or catch a glimpse of a goanna or koalas right from your deck.



The Design: Thoughtfully crafted for comfort and efficiency, this tiny home maximizes every inch of space, providing a cozy, modern retreat that leaves a minimal footprint on the earth—and a massive impact on your soul.

Situated between Drake and Tabulam villages in New South Wales, Australia, the tiny house is secluded on a 108-acre property near the Mt Carrington Caldera, facing the morning sun. This retreat is approximately 44 km east of Tenterfield, 250km south of Brisbane, 200km west of Byron Bay, and about 800 km north of Sydney.



Discover the breathtaking Boonoo Boonoo Falls and the granite dome of Bald Rock National Park or Yabbra National Park. Learn about history at Paddy’s Flat Tank Traps, Thunderbolt’s Hideout, and the iconic Tenterfield Saddler, or marvel at the unique Historic Cork Tree.



For an authentic local experience, visit the Drake Village Resource Centre, stop by the iconic Lunatic Hotel in Drake, enjoy wine tasting at Whiskey Gully Wines, or explore the region’s heritage at the Sir Henry Parkes School of Arts Museum, all just a short trip from our charming holiday homes. Guests can also experience the simple joy of watching or participating in the Jersey bull calf feeding.



A cozy 139-square-foot tiny home with easy access to water, split air conditioning, a kitchenette, cooking equipment, a Weber BBQ, and excellent bathroom facilities. These amenities include an eco-friendly cassette toilet with a removable waste holding tank, hand basin, and gas-heated shower.



Guest Access:

Guests can access the tiny home and most of the surroundings, however the shipping containers are out of bounds. The tiny home is 400m from the end of the no-through road and is very secluded.





Preorders are available with 24 hrs prior notice:

- 4WD access is available from the Tabulam side of the property - Sugarbag Road EAST.

- Drinking water is available for $10 per 5 liters.

- Introduction to Core Centred Breathing classes are offered for free. Heart Centred Meditations available from $20.

- An initial firestarter kit is included for free. Firewood can be collected at no cost, or supplied split wood is available for $20 per bag.

The Summit Sanctuary by Tiny Away is located in the peaceful town of Drake, New South Wales, Australia. Our tiny house is just 44 km east of Tenterfield and about 800 km north of Sydney, where you can find peaceful countryside vibes. These holiday homes are conveniently located near natural parks, nature trails, museums, and wineries.



Visit famous parks like Boonoo Boonoo National Park, see stunning Boonoo Boonoo Falls, and scenic walking trails. Explore Bald Rock National Park, which features Australia’s largest exposed granite rock dome, or venture into Yabbra National Park for a peaceful escape.



Have a glimpse of the past with Paddy’s Flat Tank Traps and Thunderbolt’s Hideout. Stop by the Historic Cork Tree, a unique natural landmark, and the iconic Tenterfield Saddler that captures the charm and history of the area.



Explore the charm of Drake Village Resource Centre or enjoy a relaxing afternoon at a local winery, Whiskey Gully Wines. Step back in time at the Sir Henry Parkes School of Arts Museum, where the area’s rich history comes to life.



Getting Around:

By car:

- Arriving from the west -Drake Village on Bruxner Highway is 12km on gravel road and access into proper suitable for 2wd

- Arriving from the East - Tabulam Village on Bruxner Highway is 12km on sealed Rd. Access thru property is 4WD only

- Casino is 65km to the East.

- Tenterfield is 60km to the west.

- Brisbane is 200km to the North East

- Byron Bay is 180km East

- Grafton is 200km South East



By public transport:

- Private transfer available from Drake or Tabulam $15 each way

- Public bus service available from Lismore or Tenterfield



Other Things to Note:

- Gas WeberQ BBQ grill is available.

- No pets are allowed on the property.

- Children are not allowed due to the nature of the property.

- A maximum of 2 guests are allowed, with a stay limit of up to 7 nights.

- Smoking is allowed on the property, provided cigarette butts are disposed of properly.

- We would like to advise guests that longer stays or later check-outs will incur an additional charge.

- Telstra, Optus, and Vodafone provide strong signals, whereas other networks have weaker reception.



Important Note:



- BBQ grills and outdoor fire pits are not available during a total fire ban.

- Due to the nature of the property, abundant wildlife may be present on the property.

- For stays of 5 nights or more, an additional cleaning fee will be collected to help maintain our cassette toilet and ensure a clean and fresh experience for all guests. We appreciate your understanding.
