Whether you’re looking to relax, reconnect, or explore the outdoors, you’ve found the perfect spot. Our lakefront cottage offers stunning west facing views of the water and surrounding nature, along with plenty of amenities to make your stay as comfortable and memorable as possible. It’s the ideal place to unwind, recharge, and create lasting memories.

On the main level, you’ll find a fully equipped kitchen stocked with everything you'll need to prepare delicious meals. Whether it’s a cozy brunch, a BBQ lunch, or a celebratory family dinner, the space has all the essentials to make every meal special. There’s a kitchen table for casual dining and a large dining room table perfect for bigger gatherings.

Just steps away, the spacious living room offers a cozy wood fireplace, the perfect spot for family game nights or relaxing evenings together. Large windows fill the space with natural light and showcase the beautiful views of the surrounding nature.

Step outside to the expansive deck off the dining space, where you can fire up the BBQ, enjoy a meal outdoors, and take in the stunning lake views, the perfect setting for those long summer days spent by the water.

Upstairs, you’ll find the master bedroom, complete with a comfortable king-size bed, the perfect retreat after a day on the lake. The second bedroom features a cozy queen bed, and both rooms are conveniently located near the first full bathroom, which includes a spacious shower/tub mix and double vanity. This level also includes a large laundry room, available for your use throughout your stay.

The lower level features three inviting bedrooms. The first bedroom includes a queen-size bed, a private en-suite bathroom (shower only), bar, and an arcade bubble hockey table for a bit of fun. The second bedroom also offers a queen-size bed and is connected to the third bedroom (which is an open concept den), which has a bunk bed with a double on the bottom and a twin on top, perfect for families with younger children who’d like to stay close together.

This level also includes another full bathroom (shower only) and a secondary living room with a large smart TV and cozy gas fireplace, a great spot to unwind after a day outdoors. We also have a beautiful screened-in sunroom which allows you to feel close to nature while staying clear of the elements. Step outside for direct access to the backyard, dock, and lake, where you can spend the day fishing, sunbathing, or heading out on the water with the included paddleboard, kayak, canoe and lillypad.

After a fun-filled day on the lake, gather around the outdoor firepit to roast marshmallows, share stories, and take in the peaceful evening air. Whether you’re seeking an adventure-filled getaway or a quiet retreat in a cozy lakeside home, Cooper’s Landing offers the perfect setting for making lasting memories.

Guest access
You’ll have full access to the house, yard, and all outdoor amenities. No access to one locked storage room or the inside of the garage. You will have access to the laundry room, however the storage cabinets are locked. Please do not try to pry open.

Other things to note
All our guests will be required to sign the renters code of conduct (as required by Dysart et al) when arriving to the property. We also require the main renter to sign a rental agreement and do ID verification before their stay as part of this standard process. We recommend getting trip insurance.

Our space is located in the woods, and we maintain the exterior for pests including insects and mice, this is a reality of being surrounded by beautiful mother nature. Animals you may see during your stay include wild deer(famous in Haliburton), foxes, wild turkeys, moose (must be lucky!), black bears (very rare), groundhogs, squirrels, a variety of fish and birds, mice, and insects.

The cottage does not have a generator. In the very rare event of a power outage, please come prepared and have fun and enjoy the outdoors. Most outages in the area are resolved quickly, and during the winter months, you can of course use the wood or gas fireplace to keep the home warm until power is restored.

In the winter, the private road is plowed by a local contractor. We highly recommend winter tires and a 4x4 vehicle for safe travel (there is one medium sized hill that may be challenging in the winter, the rest is fairly flat). Please come prepared. We also provide shovels and salt for winter use. Please note that we are unable to offer refunds due to weather, power outages or vehicle preparedness.

Please list all guests when booking, including adults & children. We will cancel your booking should you be over occupancy. We do not allow day visitors. We have a licence, and we have to be fair to us & our neighbours.

Pets are not allowed on this property. Any pets found during your stay will be required to remove the pet. Any registered medical animal please let us know in advance so we can coordinate cleaners.

If an exception is made, the rules regarding the pet would be as follows:
- No wet pets in the house. They need to be thoroughly dried before entering.
- Paws must be cleaned/wiped before entering the house.
- No pets allowed on any of the furniture at any time.
- Pets must be crated if left alone
- Any messes or damage must be reported immediately.
- An additional $75 cleaning fee will automatically apply.
- Pets must sleep on a pet specific bed so as to not leave any stains or smells, and we ask that any shedding breeds be cleaned up after by the owner during their stay. Please bring any blankets to protect any surfaces.

When you head out to canoe or kayak if you paddle to the right it will take you to Grass Lake, and eventually into town on Head Lake. Other points of interest include a beautiful scenic paddle up the mouth of the river leading into Barnum Lake. See Google maps. Please pull the Lilly Pad out of the water in the evening to avoid spoiling the mat. Kindly put the water toys and anything else you've used back where you found it. Canoe and kayaks to be placed face down on the rack in case it rains! It will damage the water toys if not properly put away. Our cleaner cannot lift water toys on her own, so please put away before checking out. Guests are required to wear appropriate life jackets at all times while on the lake in any vessel.

Kitchen: Coffee (drip coffee maker), French Press, Tea, Sugar, Oil, Salt & Pepper, a variety of spices, Lighters, Fire Starters, 2 paper towel rolls, dish cloths, all purpose cleaner, sponge, dish soap.

Bathroom: Toilet Paper (6 rolls per bathroom), 1 bath towel per person, 1 face towel per person. Hand towels & makeup cloths, 1 bath mat. Some shampoo & body wash.
*Beach Towels not provided, should you need, please bring your own!

Bedrooms: Pillows, Sheets & Duvet. Additional blankets, if you get cold, are recommended. We do have some blankets around the living spaces to cuddle. If you take any outside to the bonfire space please wash them.

Outdoor Amenities: 1 Canoe, 2 Kayaks, 2 Stand Up Paddle Boards, 1 Lilly Pad. Inflatables vary per season. We provide a mix of adult and children life jackets. Please bring your own in you need specific ones.

*We will not be responsible for improper life jacket usage or equipment failure.

Other: Laundry soap

Garbage: All garbage and recycling must be taken to the Haliburton Landfill (8 minutes away) and cannot be left behind. There is no cost for normal garbage disposal. Any garbage left behind is subject to a $25 fee per bag. Please use the deck box on the front porch for overflow garbage temporary storage. We provide garbage bags.

For your safety and security, there is an outdoor camera located on the balcony facing the backyard/lake area. This camera is used for monitoring the exterior only. There are no cameras inside the home.
