This new cottage (sister to popular Cottage on Craig - VRBO 335245) is outfitted with everything you need for your getaway into nature. It is the perfect place to be active and explore (includes a canoe, kayaks, tubes but bring your own fishing pole) or thoroughly relax. Firewood is provided for your primitive outdoor firepit which is ready for s'mores and more. View the night sky free of light pollution. The large patio overlooks the natural beauty of the water and mountains around you. It's the perfect spot for your morning coffee or evening glass of wine. Serenity on Craig is peaceful and your place to recharge. Soon see why we have so many return guests to Craig's Creek from the local area and beyond. Visitors love exploring the hiking trails in the forests and take in the natural beauty surrounding this mountain retreat.
The open, fully furnished kitchen, spacious dining room table(seats 10) and comfortable great room have stunning floor to ceiling views, as well as a large stone fireplace with gas logs.
The master bedroom, with its perfect view of Craig's Creek, features a king bed with a full bathroom. The queen bedroom also offers beautiful views and shares a full bath with the bunkbeds bedroom. Books, games and puzzles are available.
Satellite tv, landline phone and free wifi are provided but no cell service.
Enjoy hiking on the property or venture further to the nearby State and National Forest trails. Roaring Run(4 1/2 miles away), Hoop Hole Trail (about 2 miles away) and the Greenbrier River Trail (rated in the top ten hiking trails by Backpacking Magazine) are nearby. Vineyards (Blue Ridge and Virginia Mountain Vineyard), breweries (Jack Mason's Pub), and a great little diner (Maw and Paws) are nearby.
Cook a meal in the beautiful kitchen, on the charcoal grill (bring your own charcoal), gas grill (propane is provided) or over the open pit with the oak provided. Bring your water shoes due to the rocky creek bed. We provide paper products and detergents.
