Spacious and well-equipped, this home is ideal for families and larger groups seeking comfort, functionality, and easy access to coastal Maine activities. With generous indoor and outdoor spaces, a fully stocked kitchen designed for group meals, and convenient parking, the home is well suited for longer stays or group getaways.
The Space
The home offers multiple living and gathering areas and a kitchen designed to support larger groups. The kitchen includes two ovens, a gas stovetop, microwave, dishwasher, two refrigerators, and two freezers. Guests will find a drip coffee maker and Keurig, electric kettle, toaster, and ample cookware, dishes, and glassware. Additional crock pots and hot plates are available for group cooking.
Entertainment options include a Roku TV and a DVD/Blu-ray player, along with books and reading materials. Laundry facilities with a washer and dryer are available for guest use.
Heating is provided via electric baseboard heat throughout the home, with heat pumps downstairs and window air-conditioning units in all upstairs bedrooms. Mini-split systems downstairs also provide air conditioning. Controls and instructions are clearly labeled, with manuals located in the kitchen.
Outdoor amenities include a farmer’s porch, a private back deck, propane BBQ with utensils, fire pit, outdoor dining area, and outdoor furniture. While the home includes a fireplace and two wood stoves, these are generally not available for guest use.
Guest Access
Guests will have full access to the home and its private outdoor areas, apart from the attics and the basement (unless in case of emergency). Parking is available for up to four vehicles. Please note that the fuse box is accessed from outside the house via the basement; keys and flashlights will be provided if needed.
Neighborhood Overview
The home is located nearby to popular outdoor recreation areas such as Dodge Point walking trails - perfect for 3 season hiking or winter show shoeing. Guests can easily access the quaint downtown areas of both Damariscotta (a 6.5 mile drive away) and Boothbay Harbor (a 7 mile drive away), and enjoy the many restaurants, shops, ocean views, kayaking and boating both towns offer. Merry Manor is also located nearby to Glidden Point Oysters, a must visit while in the region!
Please use caution near the road, as traffic can be busy and vehicles may travel at higher speeds.
