Die Dragonfly-Cottage-Waterfront in Elk Rapids

Das Dragonfly befindet sich in Elk Rapids am Bass Lake und ist ein charmantes, gemĆ¼tliches Cottage mit GƤstehaus, in dem bis zu 6 GƤste Platz finden. Dies ist ein Sa-Sa wƶchentlich im Sommer. Einige kurze Aufenthalte kƶnnen verfĆ¼gbar sein. Kurzaufenthalte mĆ¼ssen durch unser BĆ¼ro bestƤtigt werden. Das Hotel liegt direkt in der malerischen Stadt Elk Rapids auf der Ostseite. Ein sĆ¼ĆŸer Ort, der bestimmt gefallen wird. East Grand Traverse Bay ist nur wenige Minuten von hier entfernt. Die Shorts Brewery ist auch gleich um die Ecke.

Das Wohnzimmer ist aus der KĆ¼che und verfĆ¼gt Ć¼ber einen Smart-TV mit Direct-TV. An der Seeseite der KĆ¼che befindet sich eine geschlossene Veranda, die sich perfekt fĆ¼r einen Morgenkaffee eignet. Das Haupthaus verfĆ¼gt Ć¼ber 2 Schlafzimmer und 1 Bad. Beide Schlafzimmer haben ein franzƶsisches Bett. Die Pension verfĆ¼gt auch Ć¼ber ein Queensize-Bett und ein Badezimmer. BettwƤsche und HandtĆ¼cher sind inklusive. Treten Sie aus der Veranda auf eine gerƤumige Terrasse, auf der Sie wunderbar entspannen und grillen kƶnnen. Das GƤstehaus liegt nur wenige Schritte vom Haupthaus entfernt. Es gibt auch einen separaten Waschraum im hinteren Teil des Haupthauses. 1 wohlerzogenes Haustier ist willkommen.

Im Freien befindet sich eine groƟe RasenflƤche, die zu Ihrem eigenen privaten Platz am See fĆ¼hrt. Sie kƶnnen auf dem Deck sitzen und den Kindern beim Spielen im See zusehen. In der NƤhe des Wassers befindet sich eine Feuerstelle. Viele Gartenmƶbel und ein Grill runden den Komfort fĆ¼r SpaƟ im Freien ab. Elk Rapids ist ca. 20 Minuten von Traverse City entfernt. Kewadin ist 10 Minuten.

Cute little lake house

Perfect size for us. 2 kids (4&6) and 2 adults. Picked this house for it being lake front with a boat dock. Great area for kids, not deep at all, we felt safe at all times. Lots of ducks. Super close to a market and gas station, and super close to Shorts Brewery, our favorite place. Clean house and had everything we needed.

Short and sweet

Our stay was a short one. Waking up to be able to go fishing or swimming was wonderful. Then close to other bigger beaches and Shorts was great fun. Place is very quiet -after 10 pm when things shut down.Call of the loons is a great lullaby.

Bass Lake In Elk Rapids.

Lovely stay - very nice and quiet, exactly what I was looking for attending a work conference in Traverse City - gave me a space to get away and enjoy in peace...even had some colleagues over for an evening around the campfire and we all agreed it was much better than booking hotel rooms and spending $$$ on high-end dinners - this was a better experience for me. Everything about the process was smooth. I had read comments about musty-ness in the property and was a little concerned. While there is a slight bit I detected when I walked in, it's nothing to be concerned about whatsoever. Walked in and literally said "it's a cottage - this is exactly what I was anticipating". Enjoyed the stay very much. Thank you.

Little things

It is a small very sweet little place. Right on the water. Was throughly enjoyable for the 2 of us and our Lab. (Who enjoyed the water and ducks). My only thing isā€¦.please maybe leave instructions for the TV. And, put more lamps in. Brighter light bulb in kitchen. Maybe even night lights around? Got a tad dark at night and trying to find the bathroom was a tad hazardous.

Nice location

This place is cute, but man does it smell musty. I figured this would be the case given the other reviews, but wow. Definitely donā€™t suggest staying here unless you can keep some windows open. Thereā€™s clearly an issue with ventilation here. Too bad because it is honestly a cute spot and very well located. Otherwise, itā€™s fine. The master bed could use a replacement mattress or bed frame, we ended up using the other bedroom for this reason, which was fine just something to note if you toss and turn like I do, itā€™s loud. The WiFi connection was good enough for light streaming, our phones and working, so that was nice. The backyard area is very nice, it was too cold for us to use it much, but itā€™s kept up very well, I could see this being a great hang out spot in the summer. Another suggestion, and this may have been listed somewhere and I missed it, but label the wall switches. There are switches that control certain outlets in different places, super confusing when you first arrive and youā€™re trying to the get the heat going (because yes, there is a switch that controls the outlet the furnace unit is attached to). Iā€™d also suggest looking into a new cleaning company, whatever their standards are, theyā€™re mediocre at best. All in all though, it was fine enough for a weekend, I wouldnā€™t book it for anything longer than that, though, unless they can get the smell thing figured out.

Great service, cozy environment

We were very impressed with the responsiveness of the management staff. A hiccup with the wifi password and a question about the heater were resolved quickly and thoughtfully. The location - right on the lake - was great (esp because our dog loves to swim) but also for just looking at. Great location.

Not worth it

I donā€™t feel that the property was cleaned well. There was mold in the shower and the closet reeked of mold and must there was sand on the couches. For the price of the cleaning service I was charged, it should be way better. Also, the rental permit displayed expired two years ago. No instructions to turn on air and the fans are coated in dust.

Disappointed

The place was conveniently located. The major problem was upon entering the place it wreaked of mildew/mold. Apparently the owner knows of this issue as there were dehumidifying items all around, they are not working. We really could not enjoy our stay due to the stench. I realize it was less expensive than others but it is a health hazard & should not be allowed as a rental until repaired.

Great House and Location

Our stay was great and the house was wonderful. However, the lack of information in regards to there being no A/C at this house was unfortunate; such information should be up front. But the weather was perfect so it fortunately was not needed for the stay. Wifi was difficult so we did not hook to it as there was 10 different things with different information. All in all we enjoyed the stay and would go back, but better instructions would definitely help.

Perfect up north getaway

This cabin was the perfect long weekend getaway! The house had enough place for 4 people and a picturesque backyard and view of the lake. The grill and fire pit was a fantastic amenity to be able to roast sā€™mores and burgers all weekend. The location was walkable to all the local places and a quick drive to traverse city. The house was clean, easy to check in, had enough basic amenities, the beds were comfy, the Wi-Fi was fast. Iā€™d love to come back to this property.

Nice lakeside get away

We enjoyed a few days at the dragonfly. We were able to go hiking in Leelenau, shopping in Traverse City, catch a sunset across the way in Elk Rapids and have our dogs with us at the house. I recommend the Happy Camper coffee shop downtown-great coffee, best hot chocolate and amazing views.

Perfect Getaway

The house was perfect for my girlfriend, dog and I. The property is taken care of and clean. The back yard is large with beach access to bass lake, we used the kayaks provided with the house rental and the water is clear and not deep off the shore. The backyard was perfect for playing games like bags/cornhole. We grilled every night and had a fire with both are provided with the rental. Also, a really nice patio set and chairs by the fire pit. One night we stayed in and use the kitchen table to play card games. The kitchen is perfect for the couple of days and has a oven, large fridge and freezer. The bath looks out into the backyard and has a stand in shower. Then two bedroom which were clean and comfortable. In the living room is a large tv and sofas ( we didnā€™t even tv on once). Fans were provided because the place does not have A/C but we had no issues. This location is close to downtown elk rapids which is adorable and has a wonderful public beach ā€œmemorial parkā€ which is connected to the traverse City bay which is crystal clear. Then you are only a short drive to elk lake and about a 15 minute drive to Torch lake sandbar. Torch lake is incredible and this house was perfect for the trip. Itā€™s close to so many things.

Nice place

Place was nice and for the most part clean. Great location and access to the pier and use of the Kayaks were a nice bonus. There was some mold in the bathroom shower that should be cleaned. Also yard is full of goose poop. Maybe this is common for the area but it made the yard kind of unusable. I would recommend this place and would also rent again.
