The Space:

Your cabin is spacious, with plenty of room to roam or flop in the large living room, 2 bedrooms, and partially finished basement with game room. You can spend your mornings sipping coffee in an expansive sunroom that overlooks the woods—slide the windows open and take in the cool mountain air, listen to the birds, and gaze at the lake peeking through the trees.

COZY AND RELAXING: Spend your evenings nestled on the comfy reclining sectional or overstuffed recliner in front of the crackling fireplace. Read a book or watch a movie on your 70-inch, Roku-enabled TV (we also offer a collection of DVDs and a cabinet of family board games). Or perhaps you prefer to gather around the firepit, roasting smores or hot dogs. Or just relax in the hot tub on the moonlit deck and take in the sky’s breathtaking blanket of stars.



Drive up a winding private mountain driveway wrapped in trees, and arrive at a rustic log cabin overlooking 4 acres of peaceful woods with a quiet lake below. Inside, a spacious living room with a comfy reclining sectional, 70-inch Roku TV, and cozy fireplace sets the tone for true mountain relaxation.

Mornings begin in the expansive sunroom, coffee in hand, windows open to cool mountain air, birdsong, and a glimpse of the lake through the trees. Days flow easily between fishing in the stocked lake, exploring the woods, playing foosball in the game room, or heading out to nearby hiking and mountain bike trails.

Evenings are made for curling up on the soft sectional or overstuffed recliner with a movie and our DVD collection or family board games, then gathering around the firepit to roast s’mores or hot dogs under the stars. When you are ready to unwind even more, the hot tub on the moonlit deck offers a front-row seat to a breathtaking blanket of night sky.



Upstairs, one bedroom offers a queen bed, log futon with full-size mattress, Roku TV, spacious closet, ceiling fan, and a small balcony for that first breath of mountain air each morning. The second bedroom features two twin log beds, two walk-in closets, Roku TV, ceiling fan, and a built-in desk/workstation, while the downstairs log futon and plush recliners provide extra sleeping options, all made comfortable with breathable, high-thread-count linens for year-round comfort.

For all its rustic charm, the cabin is set up with modern conveniences: smart Roku TVs in the living room, both bedrooms, and the basement game room, plus a built-in workstation if you need to work remotely—or a sunroom “office” with a view. Satellite internet is available (best for light use), and AT&T and Verizon typically provide solid cell service, so you stay connected while still feeling away from it all, just 13 miles from Downtown Ellijay’s restaurants and shops



"SLEEPING ACCOMODATIONS: You and the members of your party will enjoy the restful sleep that only a mountain cabin can offer. In one upstairs bedroom, a queen bed comfortably sleeps two guests, and a log futon with full-sized mattress sleeps an additional two kids or a teen/adult. This room also offers a ROKU tv, spacious closet, and ceiling fan, as well as a small balcony where you can step out and take in the mountain air the moment you wake up in the morning. A second upstairs bedroom presents two twin, log beds, two walk-in closets, ROKU tv, ceiling fan, and a built-in desk/workstation. Finally, the log futon in the downstairs living room offers a thick, comfy mattress and bedspread (additional comforter in the dining room cabinet) for additional guests. Some of your party might even choose to sleep in the soft, sectional recliners (there are three of them) or the overstuffed reclining chair. All beds feature top-quality, fine thread-count sheets that breathe—keeping you cool in the summer and warm in the winter."



MODERN CONVENIENCES: For all its rustic charm, your cabin offers plenty of modern conveniences, including smart, Roku TVs in the living room, both bedrooms, and the basement game room. You can also choose from our library of DVDs to watch in the living room. If you need to work remotely, you can, using the cabin’s built-in workstation. Or take your work out to the sunroom and let nature be your backdrop. Please note that broadband in the cabin is offered via satellite, which can be spotty for applications that require broadband, like videoconferencing (Zoom, etc.). However, AT&T and Verizon both offer strong signals in the area, so you can use your phone as a mobile hotspot for those purposes, if you have accounts with these service providers.



DOG FRIENDLY: We love our furry friends! If your dog enjoys sleeping in a comfortable crate, we have a large one you can use, complete with comfy pad, but we prefer you bring your own to give your furry friends something familiar. Otherwise, let your pup curl up on the rug in front of the fireplace. Pets are not allowed on furniture or bedding.



STOCKED KITCHEN: You can cook your meals in our stocked kitchen, which includes a Keurig coffee machine. Eat at the inviting dining room table, or step outside to the expansive deck with table and chairs, along the side of the cabin.

WASHER/DRYER: You will find the washer and dryer in the partially finished basement, which is not fancy, but clean, with plenty of lighting.



FOOSBALL & EXPLORING: For extra fun, head down to the partially finished basement game room for a foosball tournament. You can also play games around the table (some board games have been provided). If outdoor activities are more your speed, go explore the 4 acres of private woods in front of the cabin, or up the mountain behind the cabin. It’s all yours for your vacation adventure.



Guest Access:

You have access to the entire cabin and the entire wooded property. Spend your afternoons hiking or fishing in a stocked, private community lake (catch and release). Take a picnic basket and enjoy lunch at the pavilion there. You are also welcome to explore the four private acres in front of and behind the cabin, up the mountain



The Neighborhood:

The cabin sits in the most desirable area of Gilmore County. Roads are winding and scenic, and a pleasure to drive.

Hikers, bikers, and outdoor enthusiasts, the cabin lies close to hiking and mountain bike trails of Bear Creek, Pinhote Trail, Lake Conasuaga, Fort Mountain, and Mountaintown Creek.

Shoppers, less than 15 minutes away, Historic Downtown Ellijay features sweet little shops, a Bavarian chocolatier, wood-fired pizza, and other amazing restaurants, and pubs/wine bars. Make a day of fun in town, then head home to your special, private getaway for a warm and cozy evening.

History buffs, less than five minutes down the road, you can visit Mt. Nebo cemetery, where early area settlers and Civil War soldiers are buried.



Other Things to Note:

Although we pride ourselves on a rigorous cleaning after each guest’s stay, guests with pet allergies should be aware that we are dog friendly. We’d love for you to come and stay at the cabin, but we also want to make sure you are comfortable on your vacation.

We placed a security camera at the top of the cabin’s driveway. It captures and records the view of the driveway with an image only wide enough to see any approaching vehicles. We provide this as an extra security measure, so our guests feel extra safe. This is the only security camera on the property.

Proximity to wildlife is a wonderful bonus of staying in a cabin in the woods. You will see plenty of hummingbirds, squirrels, and deer, too. The woods are also home to bears, which are breathtaking to behold. Respect their homes and their cubs—and do not leave food outside for them to come find—and you should get along just fine.

Absolutely no smoking in the cabin, including in the sunroom, even if the windows are open. No Smoking on the property.
