Welcome to The Mockingbird treehouse Enjoy a peaceful retreat nestled among the Post Oak trees. Our resort is tucked away from the hustle and bustle of the city, but still just a step away from Magnolia, Homestead Heritage, and downtown. The Mockingbird offers a loft for an extra sleep area, or a cozy place to read or take a nap. Treehouse architecture integrated with nature’s architecture. Individual Wi-Fi connections in each cabin wall-mounted monitor.

The Space:
The Mockingbird Treehouse

As a bird, the Mockingbird has been called “the king of the song” since it can imitate more than 30 birdsongs in rapid succession. It is somewhat unclear why they possess this ability, but perhaps it is simply an overwhelming urge to sing.

If you feel an overwhelming urge to “get away from it all” for a rest, the Mockingbird treehouse is for you. It has two bedrooms to accommodate four guests. The master is downstairs with a king-size bed. The loft provides an extra sleeping area with a full-size bed, where you could snuggle up with a good book or just nap.

The chefs among you will appreciate the kitchen area supplied with utensils, cookware, hot plate, microwave, refrigerator, and Keurig beverage maker.

Majestic oak trees provide a restful, sun dappled environment for your stay. Our rural location is peacefully removed from adjacent commercial clutter and noise, yet is only minutes from interstate access and shopping.

Other Things to Note:
The structural supports for the treehouse cabins are intensely strong yet flexible. The flexibility allows slight movement of the cabin within the tree canopy if the canopy itself shifts sufficiently. You might feel a gentle rhythm from nature—but rest assured that the treehouse cabins, although elevated, are firmly anchored to the ground.

There is a fishing pond in the center of the property that is stocked with largemouth bass and sunfish. It is catch and release only right now. We also have a double pickle ball court on site.
