Family Retreat 'Seaside Shack' is a two-level holiday home well suited to larger families or groups, with generous space upstairs and down for everyone to spread out. Pets are welcome, and the flexible sleeping arrangements make it easy to fit the whole crew under one roof.

Upstairs, the main bedroom has a queen and single bed with its own ensuite, the second bedroom offers a queen, and the third has a single and bunk bed, all with built-in wardrobes and a travel cot available on request. A second bathroom and a third toilet add extra convenience for a full house. Downstairs, a double fold-out sofa bed, two king singles, and a further fold-out sofa in the lounge room bring total sleeping capacity to 12 guests.

Two living areas each come with a Smart TV, ideal for movie nights or simply spreading out after a day exploring. The main kitchen is fully equipped with a dishwasher, microwave, large fridge, toaster, and kettle, while a second kitchenette downstairs makes light snacks and drinks easy without heading back upstairs. A private balcony takes in sea views and outdoor seating, and laundry facilities with a washer and dryer are on hand for longer stays. Wi-Fi and private parking are included throughout.

Encounter Bay puts you within walking distance of The Bluff, Franklin Parade's cafes, and Yilki Deli, with Victor Harbor's shops, Granite Island, whale watching in season, and the horse-drawn tram all a short drive away.

By Car: Located just 80km south of Adelaide, Encounter Bay is easily accessible via the Southern Expressway and Victor Harbor Road. The drive takes just under an hour and offers scenic coastal and rural views.

Onsite Parking: Free off-street parking is available at the property for multiple vehicles, making it ideal for groups or families.

Public Transport: Regular bus services run between Adelaide and Victor Harbor, with stops in central Victor Harbor. From there, taxis or local car hire options can bring you directly to the home.

Walking & Cycling: The area is flat and easy to navigate on foot or by bike. Popular walking trails, beaches, and cafes are all nearby, offering a relaxed way to explore the local area without needing a vehicle for every trip.

Encounter Bay is a beautiful, peaceful part of Victor Harbor. There are a number of cafes and restaurants close by, with a larger selection of these, as well as bakeries, banks, supermarkets, variety stores, doctors and chemists in nearby central Victor Harbor.

It has clear turquoise waters, sun, surf and sand, stunning views and many restaurants, cafes, shops and sea-based activities. Encounter Bay, the peaceful area of Victor Harbor, is an excellent base for many activities and the perfect spot for a family holiday.
