Welcome to The Bamboo Cottage! A peaceful and private 1940's Old Florida farmhouse tucked away in Englewood's Historical District. Centrally located within walking distance to Dearborn Street & Lemon Bay, and mere miles to the beautiful beaches of Manasota Key!

The Bamboo Cottage is centrally located to many of Englewood's hot spots. We are just a few blocks North of Dearborn St (about a 7-minute walk), a short stroll over to Lemon Bay (Veterans Memorial Pavilion for sunsets!) and 4 miles to Englewood Beach and the other incredible beaches on Manasota Key (a 10-ish minute drive). We are also less than 1 mile away from a public boat launch. There is a welcome book provided in the home upon your arrival with plenty of local recommendations for dining and outdoor activities.

Vintage & cozy with modern upgrades for a comfortable and unique experience. Fast wifi, 3 TV's, luxurious memory-foam beds, huge yard and outdoor patio space, and plenty of parking for vehicles and a boat trailer if you're here for the world-class fishing ;).

The home is a cozy farmhouse from 1948. Although the home is old, we have taken great care to provide modern and comfortable updates.

There are 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms (1 of the bathrooms is ensuite to the King bedroom). Each bed has a comfortable, thick, memory foam mattress with luxury, hotel-style bedding. We also use mattress and pillow protectors that are allergy friendly. Our hotel-style linens and towels are laundered with sensitive, fragrance-free detergent. The King bedroom also includes a separate room with a desk for working and a door to a separate corner of the outdoor patio. Perfect to greet the morning sun on the Adirondack chairs with your coffee :).

The home comfortably sleeps 4. We have a Queen air mattress, should you need it. We charge extra for up to 2 additional people. We do not allow more than 6 people total. Please inquire prior to booking if you have additional questions regarding this.

There are 3 TV's in the home, 1 in each bedroom and 1 in the living room. All are Smart TV's. We do provide Netflix for our guests, and some additional free streaming services are available. There are also games and books located under the TV.

Each bathroom has a small hair dryer.

The kitchen is fully equipped with high-quality pots, pans, silverware, knives, dishes, cooking oil, and salt & pepper to comfortably cook a family meal. We even have a Crockpot!

There is a deep stainless farmhouse sink, dishwasher, electric cooktop, oven, and a brand-new stainless fridge with Reverse Osmosis filtered water and ice maker. We also have a RO water system at the sink. We provide 1 new sponge, dish soap, and dishwasher pods.

For our coffee lovers, we have a Ninja drip pot, a Keurig single cup (we have reusable K-pods in case you only brought ground coffee), and a French press. Many options for your morning cup.

There is a washer and dryer in the house should you need to use it. There are also extra beach towels in the laundry room in case you forgot yours! Please note that our cleaning fee includes hotel-style bedding and towels that are laundered with fragrance-free detergent. We also use cotton and/or OEKO-TEX certified linens for a luxurious sleeping experience.

There are 5 fold-up beach chairs and some sand-sifting tools for your shark tooth hunting adventures.

There is a gas grill outside, propane tank included. If the tank is getting low, please let us know so that we can ensure you’re all set for your grilling needs.

We provide our guests with the following essentials: 1 roll of toilet paper per bathroom, paper towel roll, dishwasher pod, and full-size dish and hand soaps. And, full-size shampoo, conditioner, and body wash in both bathrooms provided by Public Goods – a fantastic company that is committed to providing high-quality, environmentally-friendly products, free of parabens and sulfates.

We have 1 Ring Doorbell and 1 Ring Spotlight on the front of the house for the security of the home and of your vehicles. There are no other cameras on the property. Your privacy and comfort is incredibly important to us.

We have the property maintained once per week on Tuesday/Wednesday, from April 16 - October 14. October 15 - April 15 the property is maintained every other week, on Tuesday/Wednesday. You will see our Landscaping company at the property during these times, usually in the early afternoon. There are no exceptions to this rule, as the property must be maintained.

There is NO smoking inside the home of any kind. You are welcome to smoke outside, permitting that you dispose of all cigarette butts properly. We provide 1 glass ashtray that lives in a lower kitchen cabinet. You will be expected to dispose of the butts properly in the outside garbage can, and clean and return the ashtray to its cabinet.

Please respect our Quiet Hours, which are from 9:00 pm - 8:00 am. The Bamboo Cottage is located in a quiet, historical area with local residents.

Check in is 4:00 pm. Check out is 10:00 am.
