The Space:

Downstairs layout: King room with smart lamps featuring soft speakers, wireless phone charger and dimmable lighting & vintage style make-up vanity. 2 double bedrooms, bathroom, kitchen, dining and living room



Upstairs open loft featuring second loungeroom overlooking the landscape with book exchange library. 6 single beds and 1 double bed. A separate bedroom featuring another bunk bed (double/single) and sofa. A second bathroom with a washing machine and a separate powder room.

If self-catering is not for you, we also have a fully licensed Bar and Restaurant onsite, open upon reservation request for breakfast and dinner.



Guest Access:

The Family Chalet is a standalone building with its own entrance. There is an electric lock on the front door and a keyed door at the rear.

Girraween, meaning 'place of flowers,' is especially beautiful in spring. Enjoy cooler summer temperatures, on average 10 degrees cooler than Brisbane. Embrace the essence of country life, where you can slow down, breathe deep, and unwind.



Getting Around:

Girraween Country Inn is set in a peaceful rural location near Girraween National Park, so having your own vehicle is the best way to explore the region.



By Car

• Stanthorpe town centre – approx. 20 minutes

• Local wineries and cellar doors – 5 to 15 minutes

• Girraween National Park walking tracks – direct access nearby



The drive itself is part of the experience — scenic, quiet, and dotted with vineyards and granite landscapes.

• Limited taxi and rideshare availability in the region

• Local tour operators and winery tours should be arranged in advance to avoid disappointment



On the Property

Once you arrive, everything slows down.

Enjoy walking the grounds, relaxing by the fire, or simply settling in — many guests choose to stay in and make the most of the peaceful surroundings.



Local Tip

We recommend arriving before sunset, especially if it’s your first visit — country roads are darker at night, and the views on arrival are worth seeing.

The Family Chalet sleeps up to 17 guests; 6 guests are included in the base rate. Extra guests are $55 per night.



Free Parking on the Grass next to the Inn is always available.



We would be delighted if you would like to join us for dinner during your stay. Our menu is on our website and is a nightly-changing menu featuring local produce. To make a reservation, please go to our website and press "book a table". (We are also on OpenTable under Stanthorpe). Let us know how many adults and children want to dine, how many courses and any dietary requirements and/or allergies. Same-day bookings must be made online before 11 am.
