Ski at Breckenridge!

Recently renovated luxury cabin provides perfect skiing access to Breckenridge or Keystone! Closer than many Alma options as we are close to Hwy 9, only a mile up a dirt road and then a paved (rare up here) large private driveway.

If you would like to take a ski shuttle there is one in Fairplay, no parking problems in Breck.

Perfect launching point to:

Breckenridge (30 min summer), Keystone (45 min),
Vail (1 hr 15 min), Buena Vista (45 min), Fairplay/Alma (8 min)

Top of a mountain with great views of the valley surrounded by voluminous aspen forests with a cross country ski course and hiking in the summer. Your space is a private cabin on our property, there is an additional house hundreds of yards away (you still have complete privacy). Full luxury bathroom, large closet, fully stocked kitchen, gigantic windows.

This is a wonderful hideaway with no visible neighbors. Trails start at your doorstep and includes access to 120 acres of secluded private hiking/biking and cross country skiing or snowshoeing in winter.

Incredible access to views of the Mosquito Range of Colorado mountains including 5 14`ers.

It is hard to describe fully and the pictures only do partial justice, but this is a very special retreat-kind of place with incredible solitary space for having a relaxing serene vacation. The views are absolutely amazing for the area, one of the best.

We are often visited by mule deer, lynx, elk, and moose and other animals. In fact, a small elk herd ruts here each year and the sounds are amazing, we can have elk bugling in 360 degrees from the front door. Look up elk rutting season (and don`t ask us!) as we never know when it will happen each year. Please stay 35 feet from any animal, and remember the moose can be more dangerous than bears! That said, it is all completely safe if you give them room, nothing to worry about.

Complete access to the cabin and the driveway areas around it. There is also an open field adjacent to it that no one will be around, and trails heading in several directions.

We also have a large state of the art Rogue Gym that can be accessed upon permission.

We’re happy to interact if you’d like to but also fine if you want a more private stay (most people).

Up a mountain from Fairplay. If you’re looking for a private place close to nature, this is a great place to be. You might even get to see our local herd of deer or maybe some elk or moose.

There is 1 mile of unpaved dirt road up from the highway before you get to our paved driveway. In the winter it can be a little tricky. This is not unlike most of the AirBnB`s in Alma that are higher than the town itself, in fact it is a little easier than some of those. Please bring a 4WD (preferred) or AWD vehicle. For the majority of people it will be just fine (and 98% of Coloradoans), we are only saying this at all because some have never been in winter conditions.

This is not frequent but we do want to mention that maybe twice a year, and not always during winter, we can be beset by very high winds. This would apply to any location around here. Most who come will see light or no wind.
