Welcome to Yellow Birch Cottage, hosted by Simple Life Rentals! This cottage is part of a condo association, located on the main road in Fish Creek. Featuring 2 bedrooms and 2.5 bathrooms. Both bedrooms have ensuite bathrooms with new granite countertops. The living room has a new, natural cypress hardwood floor, a gas fireplace, a couch, and a twin-size pullout sofa chair- perfect for family gatherings and additional sleeping space. The home also features first floor laundry, a back patio and an in-ground, community outdoor swimming pool.

This location is also great for groups-- we offer Birch Grove Cottage and the Retreat at Sunshine Creek at the same location.

• A starter pack of essentials which includes toilet paper, paper towel, dish soap, dishwasher soap, hand soap, and garbage bags. Due to septic systems, we do not provide facial tissue. One each of travel size shampoo, conditioner, and body wash per full bathroom.
• PEACE OF MIND Damage protection covers up to $1000 per stay for accidental damage that is reported prior to departure (excludes any pet damage).

There is 1 parking space in front of the unit and a close walk offers public parking including space for a boat trailer.

This is a quiet community with residential neighbors. This home is geared towards quiet family vacations. Due to the proximity of neighbors, we cannot accommodate bachelor or bachelorette parties or other rowdy gatherings.

Location is next to Hwy 42/ Egg Harbor Road, which typically experiences higher traffic volume during the peak tourist season.

Comfortable living space- loved the fireplace! Sitting outside on the patio was nice too. Very clean and comfortable. My only concern would be the mattresses in the bedrooms. Our friends asked us how we slept and we said the mattress wasn’t comfortable and they agreed. We loved the location - would consider coming back in the summer to use the pool- walk to the beach and fun things like this but bring our grandchildren next time. Thank you!

Great location poor response from Simple

Great location, walkable area (sideways) to restaurants, shops, beach. Clean. Spacious common area and bedrooms. Draw back was poor respond from Simple when communicating about plugged bathroom sink. They dragged it on through our 3 night/4 day stay! We could not use our bathroom sink, it was plugged so bad. We got a response to our third email, “…we never received your email. We are checking to see why…” verses coming and fixing it! Then the pat statement, “…we are there for you…” Not helpful. Bed mattresses were also squeaky, uncomfortable and fragile, falling off the frame once. Hopefully they fix their communication and respond to guests needs!

Great location, very accommodating with amenities and kitchen. Most of the blinds not in working order so difficult to let the sunshine in. Mattresses just ok. May need replacement soon. Beautiful property and a privacy fence along the street/patio would be a great addition someday. We would stay here again.

The cottage, its location, and our stay were outstanding. The communication was lousy-no response three separate occasions, which was disappointing and frustrating. We dinged the cleanliness score, also, because the carpets/rugs were FILTHY. The management can correct these issues if they care enough.

The rental was nice with the exception of a few things: The front door was hard to lock/unlock, the fireplace didn't work, there were no lights in the living room making it hard to read in there at night, no explanation of the TV subsriptions. Other than that, the place was comfortalbe, and close to downtown. I would recommend it to others.

Mixed Emotions

The location of the property was perfect for us as it is in the heart of Fish Creek. The condo also was perfectly suited for adults and was comfortable with a good layout. Being a veteran traveler, we have come to expect a certain quality at this price point. Unfortunately, there were several issues that weren’t good, the two televisions on the property were extremely small and even hard to see while sitting down, the fireplace gas supply was turned down so low it barely made a fire that you could enjoy, the master bathroom, master shower light didn’t work, blinds, and seat covers were broken, garbage disposal didn’t work and there was no grill on the property as we had expected. Most concerning the exterior lights did not work, which made it very difficult to enter the door key code, and get in and out of the condo at night. I reached out to the management company before I posted my review. Their only comment was they would pass it along and give us a 10% discount on our next stay???????? Thus my mixed emotions. I really enjoyed the location and set up but would expect the property to have checked these types of issues before quests arrived.

Wonderful Couples Weekend Getaway

Wonderful place to stay for a couples weekend getaway. Location is fantastic, everything in Fish Creek is within walking distance. Each bedroom has an attached full bathroom which was awesome for 2 couples to stay in and not have to share a shower. Place was very clean and spacious. Would stay here again for our future trips to DC!

Good but not Great!

We enjoyed the outdoor patio immensely especially because the patio chairs were more comfortable than the living room furniture. The kitchen was awesome...well appointed and very nice. The laundry area was great as well. The beds are rather old and very hard! This might be alright for younger folks but for 68 year olds, they were low to the floor, hard to get out of. The carpeting needs a good cleaning, especially the stairway and there were at least 8 light bulbs that were burned out (kitchen, step lights, pendant over the sink, both lights in the showers and the light bar over the master bath) and those should be replaced. The GFI outlet on the patio does not work nor did the outlet to the right of the stove. I don't want to give this property a bad review but for what you pay for cleaning fees etc. one would expect a bit more. With a few minor adjustments this home would be better for the next folks to stay in.

First ever Door Co. Visit

This was a perfect location to stay and we were very pleased with our cottage!! We would definitely stay there again. One recommendation I would make is a TV in the 2nd bedroom. Otherwise very nice accommodations with everything you need for a comfortable stay!

Girlfriends Getaway

This was my first time renting a place that was not a hotel. It is a very nice place to stay close to town. Some minor things were in need of repair, which should have been done before our stay. The pull out in living room did not have any bedding. I was also surprised when I got the finally confirmation and door code that we were responsible for things like stripping beds, cleaning dishes, taking out garbage, etc. considering the ridiculous amount of fees that I was charged everything should have been taken care of for that price.
